Saar The Book owl | 3096 comments @Beste: what do you think about next Tuesday? Normally I'm going to finish 'The Passage' this weekend, so that's a big one that's done. Then I have shorter ones to read.

Two somewhat distant books I'm looking at.

Ravencry which is book two in the Raven's Mark series by Ed McDonald comes out August 21st. I know Margret and a few others did book one with me.

Foundryside is book one of the founders trilogy by Robert Bennett Jackson who wrote the Divine Cities Trilogy that many here have read (City of Stairs/Blades/Miracles).

Ravencry is the sequel to Blackwing, yes? I will want to read that. I loved Blackwing.

I am also a big Robert Jackson Bennett fan. So in for Foundryside as well.

Sweet I'll set them both up. Do you want to go opening day or give them both a few weeks separation? Both are August 21st so I can do both that date or do one early September and the other early October. Sometimes pub dates are different in different countries, etc. I'm open to either.

Maybe one in August, one in September? I think I will get them both in August, but I should probably stagger the reads as both authors are very good and should not be rushed.

Silvana (silvaubrey) | 1970 comments I can join Foundryside BR if it is in early September.

message 2669: by Lena (last edited Apr 26, 2018 03:57PM) (new)

Lena Any chance we could start May 2nd? The audiobook will be available on Scribd that day. Between Scribd and my library I have access to all four audiobooks.

message 2670: by Narilka (new)

Narilka | 5692 comments I could possibly make May 2nd work. By Friday the 4th for sure. Want to do it? Worst case you'd be a day or two ahead of me.

message 2671: by Lena (new)

Lena Let’s make it the 4th then.

message 2672: by Narilka (new)

Narilka | 5692 comments The 4th it is :) I'll go make a post to have it added by the mods. And if you don't object I'll keep the 4th for each book in the series.

I would like to read Brief Cases when it comes out in June, but if you want to buddy read it when you are done with the rest of the series I'll wait until you can get to it.

Tammie I saw your initial invite for brief cases and can't remember if I responded. If I can snag a library copy in a reasonable timeframe, I'm in. I'll hound for it early and let you know.

If you guys want to read it before me, it's no problem. I was going to try to read one a month until I was up to date. But it would be end of November before I was up to reading the Brief Cases.

Jenny Baker (jennyrbaker) @Aria - I really want to finish the Reckoners series before I start Warbreaker.

@Chris & Niki - I won a print ARC of The Grey Bastards in a GR giveaway. If I didn't have so many library reserves in front of me, I'd join your buddy read.
