@Yanique I've read the first book already and loved it so I'll definitely read the other two when you get to them.
Yanique wrote: "Sooooo..... I was thinking of starting the Broken Earth Trilogy soon starting with The Fifth Season. Anyone got that in their pipeline?"I do! But I'm guessing you'll want to start before June/July? Haha.
Does anyone fancy reading The Last Namsara? I was thinking in or after April as I'm jam packed until then.

I see you have your book reading hobby down to a spare-time art. Some audiobooks are great depending on the voice narrating it. I've done a few audiobooks myself and find it addicting. I'll try your reading methods in the near future. : ) thanks again.
Yanique wrote: "Sooooo..... I was thinking of starting the Broken Earth Trilogy soon starting with The Fifth Season. Anyone got that in their pipeline?"Books 2 and 3 are on my list. Read the first late last year.

I'm just gonna stop looking at this thread... Haha.
The thing with BRs if that they tend to come back around. Take the Faithful and the Fallen series...it's starting it's third go around this year...and #2 and #3 have been just since I've joined this group and that's been less than a year ago. Malazan is on its second time around. So, no need to panic about trying to jam everything in.

@Siobhan shall we set it for June? In happy to wait.
Has anyone suggested doing a buddy read of Davis Hair's Moontide Quartet? Would like to read this series on my TBR.
There's already a buddy read for the series now frank I don't remember the date but you should be able to find it here
Frank wrote: "Has anyone suggested doing a buddy read of Davis Hair's Moontide Quartet? Would like to read this series on my TBR."
Yes we have one set up to start on the 15th September then we are reading one book a month. Hope you can join us :-)

Didn't even see it. Was not looking that far into the future, but surely will be in.
Frank I don't blame you for looking that far in advance. This particular buddy read was initially discussed between three of us and we all had so much planned in 2018 already that September was the earliest we felt we had time to commit to it. We all get booked up fast in this group haha.Glad you'll be able to join us. I'm really looking forward to reading this series I've had it on my radar for a long time.
Hi everyone,Just joined this group, long time fantasy reader and looking for some discussion on the pile of fantasy titles on my to-read stack.
Is this the correct thread to post potential books for buddy reads?

Absolutely.
And the link below is the thread to the list of buddy reads that have already been arranged that you are welcome to jump in on:

I was planning on starting soon, but I can wait and do it anytime.

We are starting it on the 25 of this month, I think....
Are you asking about Wizard's First Rule Elizabeth? That thread is already made under Goodkind -Sword of Truth. :)
Hey, if anyone is interested in Evil is a Matter of Perspective: An Anthology of Antagonists, Silvana and I are starting it on June 15. We were originally starting this in another group, but since we're the only two to show interest (so far) and we're both here....well, makes sense to ask here.

I have it on the Kindle so I'll be able to join in I reckon. Haven't read a good short story anthology in a while, and there's some great authors in there so figure it'll be worth a look.

I will be in, looking forward to this series, with patience.
Laura wrote: "i am interested Beste."When do you want to read it? I have around 6 BR's in next 3-4 months I can add one more or wait for later too.
Anytime is good for me Beste. It's a small book so I can squeeze it in between my already scheduled BRs. You and Elizabeth decide on it and I'll just add it up to my list. Do you girls want to read the whole series?

I'm interested but I wouldn't be able to do it till May.

Fine by me. Anyone against May?
I'm good whenever. I was actually just asking about this the other day and I know Rob was interested in doing a BR too.
Elizabeth wrote: "I'm good whenever. I was actually just asking about this the other day and I know Rob was interested in doing a BR too."Sorry I didn't see your mssg about it. Lets ask Rob too then we can settle it some time after April???
Beste wrote: "Laura wrote: "i am interested Beste."When do you want to read it? I have around 6 BR's in next 3-4 months I can add one more or wait for later too."
I am in for Steelheart too. (Though my buddy read schedule gets more clear in April - I'm sure I can squeeze this in earlier too though.
Beste wrote: "@Hacen @Elizabeth @Laura @Rob 1st of May, June, July then?"Good for me. I don't have much planned for those months so if someone needs to do different dates for the same months that's ok with me too.
Rob I don't know if you misunderstood or if I'm misunderstanding what you're saying (sorry if I am) but what she's saying is do one book per those months. Bk 1-May 1st
Bk 2-June 1st
Bk 3-July 1st
I'm fine with this schedule but I have the room in those months to do it whenever is convenient for everyone.

Thanks, Hacen - that schedule looks good to me
Man I don't think I've been paying attention to his thread cause there are so many messages here I don't even know what books had been put forward for a BR I was gonna say if anyone was interested in reading Battlemage or The Invisible Library as both of them has me intrigued specifically the second one as I had bought it today and I was thinking august/September time but I'm sure we can push it back to 2020 any takers?
Invisible Library has been on my TBR for a little while as well... I was in talks to Buddy Read it last summer, but that never happened... I'd love to read it, and probably it's follow-ups... the 4th book just came out a few weeks ago... any time is fine with me, so I concur with August...

Welcome to the group.
Here's how I read 3 books at a time, lol. One audio for when I'm driving or my hands are just busy (2.5x speed), one physical book which I keep at home and read at nights, and something on my kindle that I carry around when I have random periods of free time.
I like it because the books are different lengths, I start and finish at different times, and don't get bored.
