@Patrick no no dude we leave that kinda jazzy stuff to the Archdiocese of Modularity (the mods)...how it works is we post here to drum up interest and collect a reading group (two minimum) and then once we have settled on a firm reading date...we go to the thread called "Mods please add this buddy read" and request a book thread. One of the Mods will then do the hard work and reply with a link to the book thred. Once a book thred is set up we just click on it and RSVP there saying something like "In" + typically once a book thred is set up lots of ppl come and join. No chatting is allowed on Mods pls thread btw so keep it professional there.That's all. Its not a very fussy group. Very few rules and very easy to navigate....
@Chris ok cool. So we'll both read Red Sister on April 19 then. Jess, will you beam the Bat Signal, please? Edit: wait, i'll do it. I anyway have to request LoLL.

I think just hang around for a few days and watch what everyone does and you'll soon be up and running.

sorry if you had any confusion Patrick, the books are discussed in depth in the buddy read thread, and anything in the General Group Info folder is kept clear of off topic discussion to help people plan out their buddy reads and to ask for help etc.
Off topic conversation is more than welcome, as we are a very chatty bunch. You can find those threads in the Hodge Podge folder.
If you have any more questions, please ask away and I'd be happy to help you out as I'm available for most of the night

Wow, my notification bell is jam packed. I'm loving this group, you guys are super active and multi-task pros! Btw I'm in on that The Lies of Locke Lamora on the 25th. Geez, I'm going to be busy for sure with you all. Btw I'm new to GRs, just joined in November 2017 and still figuring out all the bits, gadgets and benefits. : )

I obviously don't do that haha. I just use it to join groups like this one and get ideas for other books to read. I'm excited to read LoLL!! Should be fun!!

I see some people here are reading multiple books at the same time. I can't do that, I stick with one and just tackle it till I'm done, wanting to know what happens next.

Lol - not sure. I"m swamped at the moment. Depends on how jonzing you are to get started. I know the books aren't particularly long.
Ooh, if you're all reading Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell in July, I might join in - I've got a copy somewhere. Looks like this year my TBR pile's going to get the attention it deserves!
Hey all! I'm completely new here and buddy-reads in general are foreign territory, so I hope you all are patient with me as I figure out how this works. Next book on my fantasy TBR is The Drawing of Three by Stephen King (Aka, Dark Tower bk2) Anyone out there want to buddy read it with me late this month or early next month?
