I haven't read that one, but looking at the description I would say no. That one looks more military sci-fi and Leviathan Wakes is more political, conspiracy.

So me being me and always needing to look ahead I'm thinking of a new series come January and think it will come down to one of these listing the first book in the series.

That's a great idea for people who have open schedules (not Scott, our other mod with the 6 month reading schedule)!
You can also check out the bookshelf for any upcoming reads you are interested in. I will compare our books, but I'm not up for any new buddy reads for the time being.
