I've just started reading Dragonflight I know a lot of you have probably already read it but I would love to have somebody join me!
I am reading Sleeping Beauties, starting this evening. I would love to have someone to read along and talk about this book with.

I wouldnt mind getting a copy and reading it i used to line s king books,if you would like although i am not a fast reader or a "expert" reviewer

I am on page 50 taking it slow, I have a lot of grandchildren so they keep me busy. I am a fast reader, time willing, I could set it aside giving you time to catch up, I have 3 other books to read and review, and one has almost 800 pages, so grab a copy and join in if you want. My brother and I used to share books, but unfortunately he passed last January.I sent you a friends request, and sat down my book, to give you time to get this message and respond, thanks
Saar wrote: "Is anyone interested in a BR for American Gods? Maybe for December/January?"It's one of my favourite books ever, but I'm not sure I have time for a reread! I'll certainly talk about it with you guys if anyone else is up for reading?
Zaara wrote: "@Saar, the latter half of January? Far away from Malazan? Sure. I'm in."
Malazan is starting on January 5th? What do you think of 20th?
Cool with me, Saar. It's set then. Also let's repost here agn arnd/just before New Year's. I'm guessing a lot of ppl (the kind who plan ahead) will be finalising their Jan reads abt then so we can rustle up a few more bods. I will make a note to myself abt this in my tracker. Ooooo lookit me...I'm getting all organised n all. I'm sooo ashamed of meself ;-)
Allright, fine by me. I'll ask to make a BR - thread for this. Good on you for gettin' organised. I should do that too ;)
I really want to read American gods but my January is fully booked unfortunately maybe if for some reason I cancel something I may join for that read
Ahdam wrote: "I really want to read American gods but my January is fully booked unfortunately maybe if for some reason I cancel something I may join for that read"Checking out your "January" now + hexing all your non-Malazan reads so you will show up for this.
Anybody else want to read Sleeping Beauties
with us? I need some motivation if i am to get the book cause i only will have 12 days to read it before the 27th. Not sure its considered a fantasy or if ok to ask on Here for a buddy read
Saar wrote: "Is it for this month? Because it's on my TBR - pile, but this month is to busy."U talking about
? I think lady said she started it but i was wanting to buy but its looking busy for me too but i wouldnt mind setting a date if few people are interested and we could agree on a date
Yes, it was about that book. I think I could fit in in November, but i'll see what others will suggest.

I have been waiting 6 months for this book to be printed, so I will continue on with Sleeping Beauties by Stephen King and Owen King. So far in 50 pages a lot has happened
Barbara wrote: "I have been waiting 6 months for this book to be printed, so I will continue on with Sleeping Beauties by Stephen King and Owen King. I figure i can do with a change of flavor after all these fantasy novels ive been reading lately and before the next one ( even if i read them simultaneously.
If any else would like to join us amd have some chat about it feel free?
Ok....so since I noticed some wants to read China Mieville books I'd like to propose some BRs for next year.Bas Lag trilogy:
Perdido Street Station
The Scar
The Iron Council
Standalones:
Embassytown
The City and the City
Railsea
Anything else?
What would be the best time to start?
I think you said you were booked until March... I have a decent number of BRs already through April/May since I've signed up for some trilogies... after that it's just the end of Temeraire and then Malazan/Drenai Saga the rest of the year... dunno how far ahead you want to schedule... I think the latest start anyone scheduled so far was Niki with the Black Sun's Daughter series by MLN Hanover starting in May
Saar wrote: "Is anyone interested in a BR for American Gods? Maybe for December/January?"Hey, I'm interested in reading the book, too! I've been wanting to read it since I've seen the trailer for the show last year, but just never found the time. I could do it anytime?
Iain wrote: "I think you said you were booked until March... Perdido and Railsea I read already but I still put them just in case anyone is interested.

Not sure where the best part for us to discuss it would be? Maybe someone could help us ?
Niki Hawkes wrote: "Would you two like one of us to set up a thread for your read?"Yea i d like that thanks! Maybe if anyone else likes to read it along then they could!

Hiii!! I'm currently reading The Curse of the Mistwraith (Wars of Light and Shadow #1) by Janny Wurts and I was wondering if someone would like to buddy read the following books in the series next year, around March or April approximately (I think there are 10 now!). :D

It's a series I have interest in but I'm overbooked. Hopefully you'll find some takers.

I just bought the first 4 books in a sale and they are gorgeous!!! It would be a shame to just have them lying unread on the shelves. I'll get the other ones also by the end of the year so let me know how you plan on reading them.
Maciel wrote: "Hiii!! Old Man's War Hacen and Kieron I know in the poll you both mentioned you might like to read this one? I could do the first in December, but wouldn't be able to do the next one until March given my schedule. Or we could start in March?
Angela wrote: "Old Man's War Hacen and Kieron I know in the poll you both mentioned you might like to read this one? March would probably be best for me, but if December is best for you guys I'll try to fit it in. :)

I'd be in for this one if it was in March- I'm over committed for the rest of the year as it is. I've been meaning to read it for awhile.
I've heard quite a bit of the book and it seems some people liked old mans war so I would be down to join it early march
