message 1278: by Shaitarn (new)

Shaitarn | 2185 comments Would anyone be interested in reading The Company by K J Parker? I was
thinking of scheduling it for the end of November or the beginning of December (It's a stand alone noel, so there'd be no problem with keeping track of sequels).

message 1279: by Silvana (new)

Silvana (silvaubrey) | 1970 comments Since there are some who mentioned the series in the other thread, shall we read Long Price Quartet next year, starting with A Shadow in Summer? My schedule in February onward is still open.

message 1280: by Seán (new)

Seán | 602 comments I have the series at home and really want to read it, so count me in for anytime after December!

message 1281: by Zaara (new)

Zaara | 4273 comments Sure Silvana. But in 2018 please.

message 1282: by Ahdam (new)

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments I really wanna join but my schedule for 2018 is surprisingly filled up I may cancel some of them but I don't think I'll have time to read any new books in this thread anytime soon hahaha

message 1283: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 1578 comments I'm up for starting the Long Price Quartet. Around February would work well for me.

Me too probably... the 10th of the month seems pretty open for at least Feb/March/April... looking at my Buddy Reads and the Masterlist...

I'm soooo in for this :D !!!

message 1288: by Silvana (new)

Silvana (silvaubrey) | 1970 comments Great responses, thank you.
Okay.... shall we read it every first day of the month, Feb 1 Book 1, March 1 Book 2, and so on?
Let's see if we could get Daniel Abraham for a Q&A at the end.

1st of each month isn't a bad idea... so far the only things scheduled then is ASOIF, and whatever Book Club book comes along... all the Temeraire books were moved to the 5th...

message 1290: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 1578 comments First of the month sounds good! That would be cool if we can have a Q&A at the end. :)

I'll set it up tomorrow. Starting feb 1st

Sounds good to me =]. I think Iain said the 10th might be better, just because there's a bunch of BRs occuring on the first, but either way it works for me.

message 1293: by Niki Hawkes, I made it past GOTM... barely (new)

Niki Hawkes - The Obsessive Bookseller | 7639 comments Mod
I'd say the 10th is a safer bet simply because most new reads seem to default on the 1st lol.

message 1294: by Silvana (new)

Silvana (silvaubrey) | 1970 comments 10th also works for me. Thanks in advance, Niki, for setting the threads ;)

Yea... Niki and Scott have set up a bunch of series reads already next year on the 5th, 15th, 20th, and 25th... 10th seems like the last slot...
