Shelly Kawaja I'd be interested in the Stormlight Archive for July 1st and maybe the Stone Sky in August. I haven't done a buddy read here before but I'd love to give it a go. Maybe I should have started on the introductions thread ... haha I figured I'd just jump right in I guess :)

I'll setup a folder for it. I think starting in August might work better for me as well. I'd love to read book 3 when it comes out but I'm overbooked too.

Dan I would LOVE to read the Stone Sky with y'all! I have another couple of buddy reads scheduled so I may or may not be able to join - but I'll keep an eye on the thread and crash the party if I'm able to read it when you guys start.

I'll take part in any discussion for Storm Front. I won't buddy read it at this stage as I'm up to book 10 in the series. Slowly making my way through the series.

Early July or late July would be best for me. I've already got a buddy read planned for July 16th.

message 776: by Ahdam (new)

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments I think somewhere around the 10th would be best for me since I've got buddy reads on the 1st of July which are big books and another on 18th if that's okay

I've read it several times. A darker perspective than LOTR but very good at building the history.

Not at this time. There's a Six of Crows thread. Worst case if there's no takers you can read the spoilers and make comments and people who have read it will follow up.

Thanks for the info! I'm looking forward to reading it. It's been a while since I've read any Tolkien. Glad to hear you enjoyed it though.

I liked Six of Crows the best, so I would recommend reading that one first. TID would be second. I liked TMI but got tired of the books after book 4. It was originally a trilogy and I thought it should have stayed one. I have not read Percy Jackson, I'm just not interested in reading that one.

message 795: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 1578 comments Six of Crows and Percy Jackson are both great. I was never able to get into TMI or TID. If I had time for a reread right now I would read Percy Jackson with you, Nour. I just don't think I can fit them in.

I've read all except six of crows, and each one was a fun series. My fav of them is probably Percy Jackson. :) good luck when you get around to them - you'll have to let us know what you think! :)
