Requested The Last Stand of Mary Good Crow for February 10th... I think there's a lull around then in my schedule / all the scheduled Buddy Reads?... I'll revisit this thread, when audio release for The Battle of Medicine Rocks is known...

Let us know when you do! Maybe you and EchoBaz'll be reading #2 circa same time then we can all plunge into #3. :)

lorii (Loriidae) | 325 comments I will be doing a reread of The faithful and the fallen (Malice) before the sequel trilogy BR scheduled for July. Will join in if anything is scheduled before then.

I am also interested in Broken Blade but would join in at #3 of The Greatcoats (Traitor's Blade)

I've got Unbound, Oath of Fealty, and Traitor's Blade on my TBR... I'm also massively overbooked, so I don't know that I can commit but would be willing to try and squeeze in if you find some other folks to BR with...

I have [book:Nevernight
, A Darkness Forged in Fire and Broken Blade on my shelves so would be happy to read any of those.

Nirkatze | 20920 comments Elizabeth wrote: "Any times you guys are looking for to read those?"

Latter half of the year is more open for me than the early months at this point, but I'm game to try to squeeze things in wherever... I just don't want to be the only other person holding up half of the BR and then ending up disappointing you...

message 7513: by Monika (new)

Monika | 2309 comments Not saying no Nirkatze :) just read few pages of book #2

Mood.
Joiner-inners unite!

I feel the same way about Retribution Falls. It's on my TBR, but not highest-priority where I feel like I can commit. However if others are reading it I'd try to join in.

message 7517: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) | 1229 comments How does sometime in February sound for Nevernight?

Maybe June for Unbound?

I'm good pretty much any time anyone wants to read these, so if certain times work better for someone let me know.

February sounds fine to me.

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) | 1229 comments Shaitarn, any times you'd like to do the others you were interested in?

message 7520: by Shaitarn (new)

Shaitarn | 2185 comments I'm tentatively in the Tolkien reread starting in May, but apart from that I'm not doing anything from late January, so pretty much any time is good.

Broken Blade: April 1st

Unbound: May 1st

Would it be at all possible to move those a bit more forward in the month, maybe on 10ths? Just thinking that there's like 5 monthly recurring BRs or more on 1sts already... but then, I am not a solid "yes" so I bow to others' convenience!

message 7523: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) | 1229 comments That's fine with me. Were you interested in these ones too? I wasn't sure what dates to pick for the ones you listed, so just tried to put the one others had also mentioned a few months in.

For Oath of Fealty and Traitor's Blade want to do maybe July/August?

I really want to try and join in on everything! They all look really interesting. So far I'm doing pretty well keeping up with the BRs, but I'm not sure if that will still be true throughout the year--especially since my vacation ends tomorrow! >.<

July/August should be able to fit in, maybe around 8th or 15th? Though I'm curious about the Oath books--I did a little poking, and they're supposedly a follow-up to the Paksenarrion books, and I haven't read those yet... should I try to get up to date first? I picked up all the Paladin's Legacy books at a book sale without looking into it further...

message 7525: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) | 1229 comments I haven't read them either so no idea. We may just end up being confused, but we can give it a try without the others.

Sure am... I'm setting it up as the New Release Book of the Month, in another group... should be out next week I think... but ebook only, so I'll probably be slow...

message 7530: by Charlie (new)

Charlie (charlieridley) | 5750 comments Yay! I'll request a thread. Don't worry I'll probably be slow too as I have very limited reading time at the moment. Though I think your version of slow will still beat me Iain.

Tehehe. 16th sounds good! Looking forward to it. ^_^

Timelord Iain wrote: "Just tell your students it's nap time... I don't care how old they are ;)"

Hah! They would love that. But nooo... it would ruin my reputation as the evil strict teacher that gives homework everyday and never lets them rest...

message 7536: by Nirkatze (new)

Nirkatze | 20920 comments Oh, @Elizabeth--I picked up a copy of Dorothy Must Die at the recent audible sale, if you still want to BR that at some point! I'm good for the latter half of any month. It doesn't seem long, and I don't have as big of an audio lineup as physical books...

Siobhan (poi5ongirl) | 8702 comments Would anyone like to read the latest Graceling realm book, Seasparrow, starting 1st Feb?

Charlie and I are going to read it across the month with a schedule of about 20 pages a day.

I would love to start Legends & Lattes, and I am flagging somewhat half-way through my Audible version of Babel. Count me in! Not sure how buddy reads work as it is my first time doing something like that.

Hey guys, just thought I'd pop in with an announcement...

Some people have started making BR Form Requests by formatting their book title as:

BOOK NAME (SERIES #X)

...and I think this looks great for recordkeeping, and the Master Buddy Read Spreadsheet...

If, in the future, everyone could start doing it that way, it would make the spreadsheet much more clear about what's easily joinable and what isn't, if you haven't started a long series (without having to click alot of links)...

Example:

If you forget, that's fine, and don't double submit, that'll just cause new issues with the sheet... this is just an improvement that's easy to do, when you remember (I've forgotten a few times with new releases, when making requests, but been pretty good about doing it when requesting threads for multiple books in the same series, all at once)...
