Another group that I'm in is starting The Grey Bastards on August 1st. I have ebooks for all three and I've been meaning to get to them for ages. Would anyone be interested in reading all three here?

It's on my "to-read list", but probably don't have time to squeeze it on the 1st.
Additionally, I've been hearing really good things from all over about The Blacktongue Thief and wouldn't mind setting up a stand-alone buddy read/new books buddy read for that sometime this year.
Anyone interested in reading Along the Razor's Edge?... it's the beginning of a trilogy, the rest of the trilogy would follow if we liked it...
All the books are free on KU, if people have the subscription (US at least, unsure about worldwide)...
Only other book I've read by the author is Never Die, a samurai fantasy type story... not sure if this has a similar setting or not...
Me and Siobhan and Charlie (I think) are already planning to read this next week (that just started) probably, this is just to open it up to anyone else interested... either in the Last Minute Buddy Read thread, or it's own thread if people respond...
(Me and Charlie just need to finish the current read in the YA Book Club thread first)
Wall of Text complete...

Hey Siobhan!I'm looking to start either/both The Grey Bastards and/or Billy Summers around the first part of August....
Siobhan wrote: "Ooh I'd like to read The Grey Bastards! I'll be slow, but will start whenever you want."Great! I'll be slow too most likely lol....I'll put in a request.
You guys / this thread is the worst!!!... that's why I tend to avoid it :D
I'm kinda swamped in unfinished books and BR books, already, and here you guys are, linking awesome sounding books like Grey Bastards...

I'd be into giving Along the Razor's Edge a try, I read one other book by that author (Drones) and really enjoyed it. Plus I talked myself into joining KU again a few months ago lol

If you can afford it, always seek out the 2 year subscription deal... techdeals or something tends to have sales links for all the holidays... 24 months for $140 gets the price down to $6/mo instead of 10...
I've had the subscription for 2-4 years now, altho I mostly use it to get audiobook discounts through Whispersync, and the occasional Read and Listen title available on KU...

KU definitely has some epic sales. I forgot which sale it was but they were offering 6 months of free KU and I couldn't resist (though I'm pretty sure my 6 month trial has run out or will run out soon... I should probably check lol)
I didn't know about a 2 year option though, I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for that. I really need to do more of the audiobook discounts too, I mostly use it for the ebooks. But I listen to a ton of audiobooks too, so I should definitely be paying more attention to the whispersync options.

I'll probably just make a series thread for this... alot of the timing comes down to Charlie & Siobhan's other reads/responsibilities, so I'm unsure when the 2nd/3rd book will happen, if we like the first book...
Charlie has also been quiet around here all weekend, so I'm unsure where she is on finishing Hold Back the Tide... I finished yesterday, so am otherwise available...

Jessica when could you start Along The Razors Edge? I'm ok to start whenever is good for you and Iain.I'm not sure Charlie will join, think she's in a bit of a slump.

Anyone interested in reading Nolyn by Michael J. Sullivan?
The book comes out today (Aug 3rd). I'm looking to start it within the next few days.

I'm tempted to wait this time around, until i can read all 3... I felt like I was burned by several of Legend of the First Empire books not telling complete stories...
At the same time, looking at the blurbs, this trilogy looks like 3 standalone books telling their own stories with big time jumps in between?... it's hard to tell...
I feel like I need someone to tell me if I can safely read this book/trilogy as they release :D

Ok no worries, I'll just put the request in for the 22nd. I may be a bit slow starting though, but it's fine I'm sure I'll catch up with you guys. :)
Would anyone be interested in reading the Deverry novels by Katherine Kerr, starting with Daggerspell?
Would anybody like to read The Sword of Kaigen in September? I'm starting this week but will be reading all month. :)
Siobhan wrote: "Would anybody like to read The Sword of Kaigen in September? I'm starting this week but will be reading all month. :)"
I may dip in for the re-read ^~^ I'll be traveling until the 15th though, so I'd probably tune in after then :D
Shaitarn wrote: "Would anyone be interested in reading the Deverry novels by Katherine Kerr, starting with Daggerspell?"I have never read Deverry books. But I can only access first 4 novels. So I'm in anyway.

I'd be interested in reading that with you. Looks like it's on KU so I can get it whenever, sounds interesting!

That's great Jessica! Should I ask for a thread asap? :)
Siobhan - yes!!! Thanks for catching that! I’ve been off and on the grid this last week and don’t have my desktop so I’ve been ignoring admin duties lol. I’ll set up a thread.
