@Jitesh, Saar and Marit: great! how about starting on Wednesday (2nd June); is that okay or is it too soon? If you have a different preferred starting date, then please let me know.

Hi there, I just finished Foundryside by Robert Jackson Bennett last month with my book club and am looking for people who will buddy read the sequel, Shorefall with me. :) I will probably start on the 21st of June, since I have some more books planned beforehand.
Any happy volunteers? :)

Thanks, Shaitarn, that's good :) I'll reserve my copy.
OK then, I'll request a thread starting the 14th.BTW, my copy is due back at the library on 16th - I hope we don't use the same one! :D
I need to re-read Dune before the movie drops in October. it's been over 20 years since my last re-read, so I guess it is time to jump back into that universe. Anyone care to join? I'm thinking August or September?
It would be a first read for me, but I'd totally be up for reading Dune somewhere in August or September
Dune - Why don't we start early August, this way anyone who wants to jump in before the October 1st movie premiere has plenty of time to read with us all and contribute.

Great, thanks Rob! I'll tag on a few days later since I'm doing some full-time volunteering until the 14th/15th
Not sure where else to put this or which person to ask... I'm pretty sure I put a thread request in for Kings of Heaven for the 6th July but it hasn't magically appeared yet, yet I can see some have been done for later dates including later July and August... Anyone know? Shall I put another in?

it isn't on the request spreadsheet
it isn't on the request spreadsheet
@Beena/Iain: Didn't Saar have this happen as well a couple months back? This being that she was pretty sure she put in a request for a BR but that it wasn't on the spreadsheet? Not that I know whether that means anything of course, since it seemed like just a random one time thing. Just something I remembered.
I double and triple checked the form/sheet for any errors I could notice/fix...
We wiped the sheet last month, to cut lag on the sheet after 2-3 years of use...
So there's only 15 new requests in there, plus the 15 or so I didn't delete when wiping, and everything in the form is in the hidden sheet, and everything in the hidden sheet filtered to the color coded request sheet for processing...
So the only way the request got lost was if the form request didn't save/process on Google's end, I think...

The only other thing I can say, is GR implemented annoying discussion thread creation spam prevention, and now even group moderators can only create 3 new threads before they have to wait like an hour to create 3 more... puts a damper on big thread creation sprees for BRs...
I agree the only real explanation should either be Google did something weird or another part of the back-end of submitting the request timed out/bugged out.And yeah that anti-spam thing's a shame, sounds like it only makes the mods' lives harder :-(

I mean, you can see why GR might have to do something like that, with bots... but you'd think an exception for moderators would be a good middle ground... running a group means making a ton of threads sometimes...

Shoot, sorry we missed that one. Yes please submit again and I’ll get it up tomorrow. :)No worries, it's not your fault! And it's still ages away anyway so it's fine. Cool, I'll put it in later today when I get home. :)

Nice! It comes out the 13th, so how about the 17th so there are a few days buffer to pick up a copy?
I've preordered my copy already, it's due for release on the 18th where I live buy if you guys want to start sooner I can catch up no problem :)
Melissa wrote: "Becky Chambers's novella A Psalm for the Wild-Built comes out this month. Is anyone interested?"Me too!
Ah, I should start checking for different release dates. The same happened with The Galaxy and the Ground Within. Charlie, I'll put in a request for the 18th then. :)
Does anyone fancy giving a try to Assassin? It just came out and there's a couple of us wanting to give it a read starting this 15th.
A few of us are gathering to binge read The Lightning Conjurer series by Rachel Rener, starting with The Lightning Conjurer: The AwakeningWould anyone like to join?

When are you starting?
@Tammie - we wanted to start on Monday then keep a time of 2 weeks for each book. The 4th one comes out on September 13th though so we can wait a bit too. When would be ok for you?

That would probably work. I'm pretty flexible.
Tammie wrote: "That would probably work. I'm pretty flexible"..."
Yeay! Awesome! :) I've already requested the threads.
