Hi Marit! Sure you can, we haven't decided when to start it yet
I'm tentatively planning a few reads for next year. Would anyone like to buddy read any of the following:Lord of the Isles series by David Drake
The Banished and the Banned series by James Clemens, starting with Wit'ch Fire
and a couple of books by Stephen King: The Shining and 'Salem's Lot.
Would anyone be interested?

I would like to buddy read The Shining :) Starting in February (or later) would be my preference since I have exams in January.

Great! February or later is fine with me, Marit. Do you have any preferred date - say, later in the month?
As far as it's not in January I don't really have a preferred date, so anything you might prefer is fine for me!
Marit wrote: "As far as it's not in January I don't really have a preferred date, so anything you might prefer is fine for me!"So shall we set a date for Feb 10th? Harshi, does that work for you?

Ahh I'm not sure. I've got really important finals coming up, but the dates haven't been announced yet. They could be in Feb, could be in March... They're supposed to be announced this week
So can we please wait till then to set a date?
I'm sorry for this guys😔
@ChrisI'm about to start the Age of myth. So buddy perhaps I would be at half or done with the book before or on 15 December. So If I were done with the book, then I would love to join you for the Age of Sword.

Sounds great. Myth is actually a reread for me. In fact the first three are rereads. Just getting refreshed before continuing..
Hey everyone! Is anyone interested in reading

Great! Let's read "Muder on the Orient Express" then, since it's the one I'm most excited to get to, as well.
I've only participated in a couple BRs in the group and I'm not sure about the procedure. Should I create a thread in "Stand alone BRs"?
edit: just found the google form for requesting BRs
Harshi wrote: "Did you fill out the form? Also, when are we gonna start?"
No, I haven't yet, I thought of waiting a couple days in case anyone else that wants to join prefers a different date. Do you guys have a preference? A couple weeks from now would be fine for me, that's why I suggested December 20th but I don't mind moving it a bit earlier or later in the month.
Harshi wrote: "20th sounds good"Shaitarn wrote: "No, the 20th is fine for me."
Alright then! I'm filling out the form for December 20th.
A few of us are planning on reading the Mistborn trilogy starting on Friday, December 11th.The Final Empire
Everyone is welcome to join 😁. We're a very relaxed group, who don't always read at the same pace. So there is no pressure on that front, just be sure to use spoiler tags on posts talking about specific story elements.

I'm adding The secret Texts trilogy by Holly Lisle starting with Diplomacy of Wolves to my books for 2021. Would anyone be interested in a buddy read?
Would anyone like to buddy read any of these books in 2021?A Vow So Bold and Deadly in January
Wild Sign in March
Fugitive Telemetry in April
I'm in for Wild Sign and Fugitive Telemetry when they come out. =)I'm guessing those are around release dates?
Soo wrote: "I'm in for Wild Sign and Fugitive Telemetry when they come out. =)I'm guessing those are around release dates?"
Yes they are around release dates.
Soo wrote: "Wee~ They will be good reads."I'll set them up for about a week after they are released, and if we read them sooner then that will be ok.
Speaking of upcoming releases, is anyone interesting in reading Becky Chambers The Galaxy, and the Ground Within? The release date is February 16, so similarly, setting the start date a week later on the 23rd?

That's good for me :)
Charlie wrote: "@Melissa me!!! I love Becky Chambers, definitely up for this!"I requested for February 23rd.
Hi, I'm new here. Would anyone like to read a Steampunk mystery, slow-burn romance with me? The Case of the Dragon-Bone Engine I was a beta reader, so I've read multiple versions and have lost a bit of motivation to read the published version, but I want to, so I can leave a fully up to date review. It's very well written, unique worldbuilding, fun! Anyone interested? The author also has a free short story from the same world up on her website if you'd like to get a sense of the style: https://galadrielcoffeen.com/magic-an.... I was thinking of starting next weekend, Dec 19th.

A while back Narilka asked me if I figured out what books I'm reading next year. My current habit is to use the Team Challenge Tracker as my current TBR. It's handy for that! =)Then I'll pop in here to see what people are looking to read and check the scheduled BR's each month to see which ones I may want to join.
Anyway, I've put together a list of potential books/series I want to read.
