It does. I saw the Apr 1 thread go up. We could use that or start another, whatever is easiest.

Graeme Rodaughan Cool, I'll request a new thread.

Done, for the 20th May 2020.

(P.s. I suspect we will find some additional members to BR b/w now and then.)

Guess we need another thread?

Just announced: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F17zu... (at the end)

Battle Ground releases September 29th, 2020... 2.5 months after Peace Talks

So, BR October 6th?

EDIT: Apparently, Peace Talks and Battle Grounds were originally a single book, but it was getting super long and "Frankensteinian", and was broken in 2, with a single year release date...

Soo wrote: "Yah! BR that week or next?"

I schedule a week late, which leaves room for same day starts and library checkouts hopefully, for people that don't buy... with Dresden Files, I'll probably be starting quickly (assuming audio releases)

I just realized I was tired last night, and wrote November 6th instead of October 6th, as a week after release on September 29th :)

message 5316: by Beena (new)

Beena (beenz) | 2198 comments Lol, no need to be sorry, it's not like it was even in the Sanderson folder, so it's not your fault.

message 5317: by Kevin (new)

Tammie wrote: "Would anyone like to buddy read Master of Sorrows?"

This book is definitely interesting, from the blurb, audio is available, and I want to read it... but considering book 2 isn't expected until next year, we probably won't see the 4th book until 2025 at the earliest...

Is that a deterrent for anyone?

I got a copy from NetGalley, so I feel like I need to read it now. I'm already super late getting to it. But it is a bummer that it will be so long until the trilogy is finished.

Is it only a trilogy?... the series page shows 4 books, altho the 4th book is untitled...

EDIT: The more I look at the series page, the less I know... the books all have release dates for the same week in February 2019/2021/2021/2022... I feel like the 2nd book was moved to 2021 when 2020 fell through... the 2nd and 3rd book have names, the 2nd book has a cover, all books have page counts (altho the 448 for book 3 & 4 are probably placeholders)...

Maybe my 2025 prediction is misguided, but generally when an author starts missing deadlines, it becomes a pattern, unless something changes...

Soo (silverlyn) | 6898 comments Tammie, I can start whenever. Pick a date. =)

I'm interested... is this the first set in this world?... it says it's standalone, but part of a connected world? but nothing else on the series page...

message 5331: by Soo (new)

Soo (silverlyn) | 6898 comments I know as much as you do. I got the audio cause it looks interesting. The ebook is on KU.

I mean, we're never going to "not have a series" to catch up on. I figure that's just a fact. =)

Decided to dive into Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan series. I read most of the books (without knowing it) when they originally came out. Starting from the beginning & planning to read read most of the books. Mark Greary is good but I'm not sure about the other authors that have stepped up to finish the series. Just finished my reread of Patriot Games and it was great! Better than I remembered it being and different from the movie. =)
