Hi Niki, how are ya? Holidays all good, I hope + *hugs* and 😘❤️ to "Junior" who must have turned two by now (sorry I only know Colt and Jolene's names) and Happy New Year, "Cappy" tho I'm not a Raider this year...*drumrolls* the original 😂 2018 Inda team reunite!
😂 I think Scott and Mayim were the only ones who finished that round.
No worries, I'm not a very fast reader either, unless its a reread...we'll be around!!

Melissa wrote: "@ Bea, Shaitarn, Zaara
Like Zaara said, I was already planning on reading Inda, so I'm in as well. Glad for the company. My March is still wide open, so the 1st works fine."

@all who are planning for Inda...so...is March, April, May, June 5 ok with everybody?? I'm fine any dates from March onward, so please ask for the threads at a time that suits y'all and I'll arrive....

Yeah...March 1 is great too...I just picked 5 as an arbitrary number since so many BRs begin March 1...

@Elizabeth just looked thru your list,
Hailee and I are definitely readign Priory of the Orange Tree together this year. And I see you have Mistborn 1 on the list too...I think that's one of Hay's top priorities this year and I wouldn't mind a reboot...
Would you mind waiting a couple months tho? I see you already requested a bunch for the first half of the year...lemme ask Hay to come here and we can find a time that suits everyone....

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) | 1229 comments Sure, later works fine for me. I was planning on doing Priory of the orange tree soon since I have it on audio, but can hold off.

I’m interested in The Color of Magic and The Queen's Blade. Both would have to be in February or later.

Fortress in the Eye of Time
Fool's Errand (and possibly the whole Tawny Man trilogy)
Empire in Black and Gold (and possibly Shadows of the Apt series)

I'm up for both Priory and Mistborn. I need to leave April and August clear for a readathon I take part in so May onwards would be my preference.

Would either of you object if when we plan Mistborn we just set a date for the first one and then decide on the when we start the others as we go? Sometime a rigid one a month plan can get a bit stressful and we can be a bit more spontaneous with our start dates if we leave it open.

message 4982: by Rob (new)

Rob (nefariasbredd) | 2418 comments I'm trying to only do a max of two buddy reads a month so I can keep up, but I am seeing I'm free once May rolls around to start new series or two (or three)

Anyone interested in starting any of the following in May (or later). There are a number of authors whose books are on my overflowing book shelf that I need to get cracking on! Long list below to follow of possible series and standalones to start!

Sapkowski - The Witcher - starting with Blood of Elves though (I've read the previous short-story collections).

Spellslinger -

The Night Angel Trilogy -grabbed it for a buck at a library sale!

The Black Prism - just got this for the holidays from my sister and brother in law.

The Rage of Dragons - getting great reviews and sounds like book 2 is coming out in July.

Ross Poldark - Loved the latest version of the show and they stopped producing it with just half the books covered. Would love to start and read it to complete the thing.

The Gutter Prayer on my to-read list and the sequel just came out.

Theft of Swords - Sullivan - apparently publication order is the way to go according to the author.

The Waking Fire - Ryan's other world.

The Wolf's Call second book coming out this year.

Unsouled - by Will Wight

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes- Hunger Games Prequel comes out in late May.

The Chronicles of Amber - been on my to-read list for about twenty years.

The Red Knight

The Shadow of What Was Lost - I know a bunch of you have just finished this.

Legend - Gemmell - Drenai

Red Mars

The Shadow of the Torturer Wolfe

Traitor's Blade

Rob (nefariasbredd) | 2418 comments Ok, based on the responses -

I'm going to request two buddy reads
The Licanius Trilogy #1
The Shadow of What Was Lost 4/10
An Echo of Things to Come 5/10
The Light of All That Falls 6/10

Going to also request...Draconis Memoria Series
The Waking Fire 5/25
The Legion of Flame 6/25
The Empire of Ashes 7/25

How does that work for everyone interested?

I can probably pick up another buddyread/series in early July. I know I'm going to probably be inserting some other new releases along the way (Hunger Games prequel comes to mind but I suspect that will be a quick read) and am debating rereading at least Oathbringer in November before stormlight 4 drops.

Also doing the "Of Blood and Bone" series starting 2/20,3/20, 4/20 for those that have read the first John Gwynne series.
