message 74: by Zam (last edited Jul 18, 2016 08:40PM) (new)

Zam Loyal | 2 comments Hello everyone.

1. My writer's name is Zam Loyal, I don't intend to be anonymous but I generally like the idea of having a separate name for my profession.

2. I write Dark Fantasy, Sword and Sorcery, Fantasy in general. I'm not a very good reader (as in, I don't read as much as I'd like) but I am trying to change that, part of the reason I joined this groups is to find reading material to help out fellow indie authors.

3. This is my first and only book so far, I am currently working on part 2 of 2. Causality: The Crisis in Zelan Part 1

4. Originally I wanted to tell my story through a video game, but after I studied and learned what it takes to make one, I realized that said goal was unrealistic. Even more so if I wanted to keep my story unchanged, because finding a team to make a game (which is a must) means that those people are going to want some input in the story. So I decided to write instead, and maybe in a distant future if my dreams come true, I could turn my book series into a video game series.

message 77: by D.H. (new)

D.H. Jonathan | 2 comments Name: Dan, but I write under the name D.H Jonathan
Preferred Writing and Reading Genre: I seem to write contemporary mainstream fiction, which is also what I read (although I delve into horror whenever Stephen King releases a new book). For some reason, my stories tend to feature some degree of public nudity. Maybe my 30+ years of modeling nude for art classes has something to do with this.
Most Recent Book: The "Volunteer"
Interesting Fact: In 2001, I was a contestant on the ABC gameshow Who Wants to Be a Millionaire back when it was in its heyday. When I got into the Hot Seat, host Regis Philbin was fascinated by my nude modeling job. I wound up winning $32,000.

My characters are realistic--you could meet them in the grocery store--and they deal with issues that are universal: love, family, friendship, and the role of destiny in our lives. My goal is to complete and publish at least four novels before I'm 80.
