ok, I'm changing my book choice. I have started No Name but it's a chunkster and not one I'm likely to finish before the end of the month so I went back to my list and I'm going to read Instruments of Darkness instead.

I'm so happy to be reading No Name though, this challenge was just the push I needed to get that one started!

I hope you enjoy Instruments of Darkness, Tasha. I read it a couple of years ago and thought it was pretty good.

I agree that the best part of the series is spending time there, and with Cadfael. I do recommend the tv series. It was really well done and the actor who plays Cadfael is wonderful.

I think Dawn read the series and really liked it too. I remember seeing her comments.

I just finished reading The City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin after re-reading the first two books of the trilogy, The Passage and The Twelve. It's time to choose another book to read, so I decided to look at the challenges and found this one!

I have 529 books on my To Read list, and Randomizer chose 256. That number turned up Sacred Hunger by Barry Unsworth, added on May 10, 2014. I didn't recognize the book at all, but it won the Man Booker Prize in 1992, so I probably added it for that award. The subject is English involvement in the slave trade during the Colonial Era. I got the Kindle version from my library and the audiobook from Audible, so I'll start it tomorrow.

I've started Let's Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir and it's great fun so far. I read (what a happy raccoon) and loved it. I had to get the physical book because there are photos included and I didn't want to miss them.

Alrighty! I had 209 books on my TBR shelf, "randomized" that and got 138. The rules gave me a range of 118-158 to work with. Looking at my list I realized that I was in the throes of the serial killer challenge at that point and most of my books in that range are series titles. So I decided to go with Private, the first book of the Private series by James Patterson since I've been using some of the other titles in the series for the geocaching challenge.

I didn't end up reading Instruments of Darkness but I started and am continuing to read No Name which was the first book I chose for this challenge. So while I won't be getting a badge I am so happy to be reading this book. I've wanted to read it for a long time and it's really good so I'm happy. :)

No badge for me either. Still making my way thru All Over the Map for this challenge. I think it really picks up about half-way thru. The author digs deeper and finds her authentic voice.
