Same! And I'm still waiting for my invitation to Hogwarts. ;) Harry Potter is just simply something amazing.

It's not!

If you were in Hogwarts which house would you want to be and which one you would be according to your personality? Because I would love to be in Gryffindor but I probably would end up in Ravenclaw. Which would be totally fine because it's my second favorite house in Hogwarts.

I agree. It's so confusing how mixed feelings you get from this series. I kinda like it but same time it's also so annoying. So hard to get a clear opinion of these books...

Amaya Apples Enni wrote: "Amaya Apples wrote: "Paulo wrote: "Amaya Apples wrote: "Enni wrote: "It has been really REALLY quiet out here so I thought it would be nice to re-start the conversation. Are you guys still loving t..."

yep exactly you think they are living happily ever after i think the author just wanted 3 books just to probably be lazy i think it should have been 4 or five books ,and i felt like he (view spoiler)just to end it and leave it alone i feel as if it should have been different we should have gotten a deeper perspective of evan walker ,also ringer, and then most importantly Sam ,i just hate how the first book is 457 pages ,the infinite sea 299,and then the last star only 338 i felt like it was just a lazy trilogy but an amazing one.

message 124: by Enni (new) - rated it 5 stars

Enni Linnavirta Yes, because when I read the first book I thought the two other books would be as long as the first one but no. Even though the series is amazing I just wish there would have been something more, for example four books and a little bit different ending. And I think that in the second book there didn't happen as much things as in the first one. And then there were maybe happening too much in the third one. But that's only my opinion ;)

Amaya Apples Enni wrote: "Yes, because when I read the first book I thought the two other books would be as long as the first one but no. Even though the series is amazing I just wish there would have been something more, f..."

yep i agree, i dont like the fact that the endings just had a lazy feel to it i dont understand at all i think all of the books should have been different from each other ,if i were the author i would have finished what i had done and finished it right but i feel as if the third book would have been much better the perspectives didnt come from the main character (Cassie) and not even Evan just ben,sam and ringer

message 126: by Enni (new) - rated it 5 stars

Enni Linnavirta Exactly, because my anticipations were after the first book that the story would be told mostly from Cassies perspective but for some reason there were less Cassies perspective in the second book and in third. I really wish that it hasn't been that way because Cassie was my favorite character so I would have like to read mostly from her perspective. And maybe this series wouldn't have been so confusing if there had been more Cassies perspective.

Amaya Apples Enni wrote: "Exactly, because my anticipations were after the first book that the story would be told mostly from Cassies perspective but for some reason there were less Cassies perspective in the second book a..."

Same i dont understand why he did that,i was really wanting more of Evan perspective because he is my favorite character ,and cassie right next to him,i just hate the fact that ringer, ben, and really barely sam got more perspective -.-

message 128: by Enni (new) - rated it 5 stars

Enni Linnavirta Yep, this trilogy would have been much better if there had been mostly Cassies and Evans perspectives. But of course it would have been nice if there were Ringers and Bens perspectives but not nearly as much as Cassies and Evans. And when I read the third book I was so pissed up because there were constantly Ringers and Bens perspectives. I just wanted to read from Cassies perspective... So annoying. And I have to say that the ending in the third book was kinda hurried, I just got that feeling when I finished the book. And I also kinda predicted that something like that would happen, of course not excatly that what happened.

Amaya Apples Enni wrote: "Yep, this trilogy would have been much better if there had been mostly Cassies and Evans perspectives. But of course it would have been nice if there were Ringers and Bens perspectives but not near..."

yes i totally agree ,i mean why have a main character if your going to (view spoiler) and have the other characters that barely got any attention in the first book to have a happy ending, but i dont like what he did with evan or cassie i just dont understand why it was so hurried the trilogy was so unique and so amazing but the whole entire series seemed like it was hurried ,the first one not so much but the last 2 extremely hurried

Enni Linnavirta I just don't understand what the writer was thinking of... Because when I bought the second book I thought it was going to be as long as the first one but when I got it I was kinda shocked how short it was. I was really looking for a nice long book. It's just so annoying that the second and third book are together almost as long as the first one. I was really waiting for something different...

yes i looked up the books online expecting the 2nd book to be the same or more than the same length, but really why would the 2nd book be shorter than the 1st and 3nd i really thought there was going to be another book right after the 3rd but then heard it was a trilogy its such an amazing trilogy to be a trilogy it should be a series and quick question is this kinda sorta what you would have imaged as evan walker http://images5.fanpop.com/image/photo...

message 132: by Enni (new) - rated it 5 stars

Enni Linnavirta YES! He looks like Evan who I imagined. I really like the actor who plays Evan in the film but for me he's maybe a bit too old-looking. But that guy... he would make a perfect Evan Walker. But what did you like the actress who playd Cassie? Because for me she was very close that Cassie who I imagined.

sure, and yah i love Alex Roe as Evan Walkers portrayed but if he didnt have that beard on his face i think he would look younger but i kinda sorta think this is the dude who could have fit right in to the Evan Walker characteristic, and i mean dont get me wrong ,Chloe Moretz is a great actress but except in the book Cassie is described as not as pretty and a loner and stuff the movie kinda sorta made it a whole big blob ,where Cassie was the girl that had surprisingly blond perfect styled hair even though the world was dying and stuff i mean come one the movie could have portrayed Cassie with blond hair but messy hair .but anyways ,they could have had Chloe without make up or another girl that is Striking in a type of way and has little make up here and there. What do you think?

message 134: by Enni (new) - rated it 5 stars

Enni Linnavirta Good points. I acctually didn't think about that when I saw the film. Less makeup and messier hair maybe would have done the trick. And yes the beard was a bit too much for the guy who played Evan. But I have to ask, what did you think about the actor and actress choises they had made with Sam and Ringer? And with Vosch?

Amaya Apples Enni wrote: "Good points. I acctually didn't think about that when I saw the film. Less makeup and messier hair maybe would have done the trick. And yes the beard was a bit too much for the guy who played Evan...."

Well first of all the actor for Sam is Perfect, but in the movie what he says is kinda cheesy, but anyways Ringer her actress (Maika Monroe)I mean ,to be honest shes perfect for the character but it kinda sorta sucks that they had to out line her eyes with make up to make her look like the Person she was described as in The Infinite Sea ,(three quarters Asian and a quarter Apache)and i dont really understand why they had to waste such time making Cassie look as if she just had her beauty sleep and they did perfect on the whole Grimy face thing but really they really didn't present the surviving Cassie ,that is supposed to have only a back pack and a teddy bear ,not a curling iron and some make up,i mean seriously they could have made the whole survival thing real at least ,with the make up and the whole hair thing .But Vosch his actor was perfect but they could have made him look a little older (Make up can do anything)

Omg, I thought the excatly same thing about Ringers eyemakeup. The liner was for me too much. They could have concentrated on Cassie and make her look more survival Cassie, as you said. And I also liked really the actor choise with Sam.

Yes same i think they actually ,cassie could have been more realistic and i think ringer could have been more less goth,i eman not goth just with make all over her face and if theyre surviving in a as i said dying world ,Where did she get the make up i mean yah she was in Write Patterson ,but thats a military ,training place not a beauty shop.

Sorry if my english is bad...
well, I have read until the second book, but I don´t know why I thought it was two books, I thought that all the story would be explained in this book. For that, I had felt that with Ringer, I would know the true about all these story, about the "others", But it was not like that... I´m feeling that the story will finish with a big surprise...because I had an idea about the others, but now, I don´t know what really they are...
About the movie, I have to admit that It was interesting...I really enjoy the conceptual art at the adaptations, especial effects, soundtrack and it was fine, it wasn´t perfect, But I don´t have problem with the movie...

Regards!

Si,same if you need me to speak to you in spanish thats fine but anyways,i dont really get why they care about the way the character was portrayed through race i dont think its really that noticeable but the thing is what about the other actors and actresses ,they look totally different from the movie and then on tv with out that much make up and stuff ,like for example didnt Bens actor look a little bit more cute in the movie than the real life and so is the same as Evans actor?

Enni Linnavirta That's so true. But in movies I feel like they want to make the characters look perfect. But I think it's unnecessary especially in the 5th wave because I think the whole point is that the characters look like they have just survived four waves! But that message doesn't come across in the movie! I just wish that the second movie (if there's even going to be one) would be more believable. Or I mean that the characters would look more believable.
