Percy Jackson as an Animation Movie?

Leah I saw this article a long time ago about re-making the Percy Jackson Series into an animation movie. Ever since then, the idea stuck in my head even though it is not set in stone. I think there would be a lot more attention to detail and it opens up a window to correct the storyline. It (hopefully) wouldn't turn out like the original movie, and therefore, would still have its surprises for a returning audience that have not read the books. What do you think? Would Percy Jackson be better off as an animation or should a movie for the series just be put to rest?

Here's a link to the article that sparked this idea: http://www.hypable.com/why-animation-...

Simone Perren I really like the idea of Percy Jackson as an animation story, it would almost remind me a little (very loosely) of Tin Tin. I picture it similarly but I love the idea! I think it would be easier to create the Gods in a more unrealistic way rather than how they are in the movies that are currently out.

Tiara Amany (A Wave of Vellichor) I think yup, it is better to make the rest of PJO as an animation movie. When I read the book, the scenes in the book played out as an animation rather than a real-life movie in my head. And also considering that it has like a bunch of sequels and related series all by Rick Riordan, I think it will be much mbetter to make it in to an enimation with multitiudes of episodes. PJO is written for kids, and so with the animation version, it will reach the younger ones more easily.

Alden It really depends on if it follows the books. If it did then it would be amazing. It would be amazing to have new stuff in the fandom.

Moise Alexandru Yes, if they can't do a movie...
But the book contains so many adventures it can be displayed:
Percy Jackson and Olympians: The Lightning Thief: Part 1 (two hours)
Percy Jackson and Olympians: The Lightning Thief: Part 2 (two hours)
Percy Jackson and Olympians: The Lightning Thief: Part 3 (two hours)
Percy Jackson and Olympians: The Lightning Thief: Part 4 (two hours)
Percy Jackson and Olympians: The Lightning Thief: Part 5 (two hours)

And The Sea of Monsters etc.
The book may be studied page with page, putting the exact action and not doing this film from memory, like in those two horrible movies.

But I think it can be a normal movie and an animation movie, like Ninja Turtles.

I think that maybe the fans will do the movie better than them.
Agree?

I would totally support an animation film. You can also do so much more with animation than live action movies, like toy with character's expressions, powers, appearances, transformations, etc. Animation brings a whole new world of possibilities! My only fear is that it won't stick with the storyline and completely get the characters wrong.

I think the fans would make a lot of books to movies better, lol! ;)

I hope that since they can practically do anything with animation, they would at least get the characters right lol. But I agree, I also fear the storyline would be off (again) since they have creative liberty that can stretch as far as their imagination will let them.
