As of today we have 11 members; would folks like to continue the group, even if we don't reach 15 by the end of the week?

If so, a different focus seems needed. Reading large novels from famous authors is highly ambitious for their being lengthy and often hard to obtain, so instead this group can be about reading novels from popular fiction (e.g., Isabel Allende, Paulo Coehlo, Mark Haddon), and poems/short stories for classical authors (e.g., Miguel de Cervantes, Horacio Quiroga). The goal would be to appreciate both modern trends in Spanish literature, as well as the classics, from books/poems/short stories that are relatively quick to read and easy to obtain.

Any thoughts? I'll post in the "Agosto 2016" thread a candidate for August's reading.

Where I live, bilingual book clubs have a hard time getting off the ground, too, which is what inspired this group! Thanks, let's give it a go for a few months :)

Judy Looks like we've reached critical mass! Still your idea to start slowly makes sense.

Judy I've set Sombra del Viento aside and haven't looked at it in a month or more. I personally seem to have fizzled, yes. Sorry! I have been reading some of the discussions so am not entirely out of the loop.
