I can't wait to see the comments you write while reading the book."
Me too. I find reading what people think fascinating and often varied.

I didn't grow up anywhere near England but the good ole USA and I enjoyed the ending immensely to be honest I was actually thinking darker than what actually happened. I like David's endings because this may sound weird but they are not all warm and fuzzy but they are tied up.

A darker ending was tempting, but the ending I ended up with felt more natural for the characters.
Have to ask, what is DNS?

That is one of the reasons I like David's books because you get to know the characters good and bad. I am wondering while you are reading this book if have come up with an ending.

Good to know, Mary. I do enjoy that switch between characters myself when rwading as well as writing. As Chris points out, you get the character's own thoughts/opinion countered with that of other characters and then have to draw your own conclusions based on both sets of evidence. I feel this aligns with how we evaluate people in real life, which hopefully leads to well rounded characters. In Imperfect Strangers I take this switching of characters further, playing the same event through different character's minds. If that appeals, and if you continue to enjoy Void, it may be worth a look. :-)

What is the name of the cave that Tom visits with Nicky?

We have one more week left to discuss VOID. The VOID thread will be open through the month of August for discussion if you need extra time.

The cave has a couple of names: Castleton, or Peak Cavern/Devil's Arse ( but they changed the last one as the Queen was visiting and they didn't want to upset her) ;)

It doesn't matter since it's near the end of the book. We have been talking about the book in general. In an earlier post they were wondering if Tom was a murderer.

Well done, Rosa. A complete answer. PM your email to me or Jimmie and I will send you a copy of imperfect strangers. Nice to know people want to read my books :-)

Sorry, Mary. It is the cave that begins to bring back strong memories of the bridge however. Look out for the next question, and good luck :-)

Thanks W.M. such enthusiastic responses always bring a smile to my face and make the effort I f writing so worth while.
I think we are far enough into the month for spoilers to be expected, so feel free to post away any comments or questions :-)

Mary, thank you for participating in the VOID question for a chance to win a free e-book. I will post another question this week. So you will have a chance to win a free e-book from David Staniforth.

Imperfect Strangers was good. First one I read by David.

What kind of creature is the ugly doll that sits in Mrs. Gaskell’s Landing window?

I am sure we all at 1 time or another wanted something so bad and when we got it were disappointed because it wasn't what we thought it was and our parents made us keep it.

I know for my children it was a particular training shoe!
Well done, Farshana.

Just a reminder to the team, we have a few more days for the official VOID book discussion thread. I will continue to monitor the VOID thread through the month of August for any discussions VOID comments.

I couldn't figure out how to pm you so I sent you a question on your goodreads webpage. I can access books via kindle and here is my email...purie36@gmail.com
Thanks! I can't wait to get reading:)

Thanks, Chris. Hope to have more titles in the next few years. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the fantasy offerings :~)

There wasn't meant to be, Rhonda, but as you've asked: Tom finds a picture of Penny early on in the book; on what island was that picture taken?

Many thanks to all who have supported and encouraged me in this venture :~)
