Ally thanked him for helping her onto the boat, sitting and looking up ahead of them at the castle. "There you go. That's Hogwarts." She said softly, pointing it out to him.

Nate looked up at the castle and it took his breath away. He had imagined it would be big but he had never thought it would be this big. It was gigantic with huge turrets jutting into the sky and large walls surrounding it. "Wow it's amazing. he whispered to her as the boats drew closer and closer to it.
Ally nodded. "Yeah.. It really is." She smiled, looking up at it. She was so happy to finally be there and be able to learn more than just what her parents could teach her about being a Witch.
Nate couldn't help but get a little excited as the boats finally ran aground on the other shore and all the first years disembarked. The man who had introduced himself as Hagrid stood up and motioned for them to follow him. Nate made sure ally was next to him and then they took off together following Hagrid up the ancient steps that led to the castle.
Ally walked beside him calmly. "Good luck with the Sorting hat... It takes your choice into account too.." She said, remembering she forgot to tell him before. She looked around, smiling. She was so excited but hid it well.
As Nate walked into the great hall he couldn't help but gawk at the amazing magical ceiling floating above him. It seemed like it didn't even exist and that he was just looking up at the night sky. He walked forward and waited in line ready to be sorted. Ally was a few people in front of him though so he could no longer talk to her.
Ally found her place in line. She smiled as she looked around the great hall and waited for her turn to get sorted. She trusted that she'd end up in the right house for her, not even caring which house that would be.
Nate fidgeted nervously in line wondering what house he would get sorted in. It was really worrying him. He didn't want to end up in a house where he didn't have any friends or where he didn't fit in. When they called out ally's name he started to worry realizing that he was next.
((I would prefer something like Gryffindor or Hufflepuff but if you really want it to be Ravenclaw I guess that's ok.))
((I just wanted to ask cause I think that'd be the most fitting for her but Gryffindor can work too..)
((Ok let's do Gryffindor then))
Ally walked and sat where she was told, the sorting hat being set on her head. She listened as the hat spoke, debating the options. She bit her lip lightly, glancing around the great hall. Finally, the hat called out "Gryffindor!" Ally bit her lip and after the hat was taken from her head, she walked to the Gryffindor table.
Nathan beamed glad that what he hoped was his new friend had gotten sorted into a good house and not Slytherin. He could already tell most of the kids in that house looked pretty mean and snotty. He gulped nervously though as he heard his name announced he climbed the steps to the sorting hat and felt it placed on its head. It seemed to think for a very long while whispering stuff to him before it blurted out Gryffindor. Relived beyond belief Nate hoped off and ran to sit with ally as the entire table erupted in applause.
Ally watched Nate as he got sorted. Smiling faintly as he Ended up in the same house as her. She shifted so he could sit beside him. She was happy to be in Gryffindor but she had really wanted to be in Ravenclaw, feeling like she'd fit in better there..
"Hey we're in the same house!" Nathan said to ally overjoyed. He was so excited and caught up in the moment he actually reached out and hugged her. He noticed she was warm and smelled nice but after a couple of seconds he realized what he was doing and let go. "Sorry about that I was just really excited." He said blushing. He hoped she wasn't going to get weirded out or become angry with him.
Ally tensed slightly when he hugged her, gently pulling back. "It's alright..." She mumbled when he apologized. Ally glanced around, biting her lip.
"So what happens next?" Nathan asked excitedly as the last student sat down. His question was answered by Dumbledore who stood and addressed the school. He welcomed them all home and encouraged them to do their best and to stay out of restricted areas. Finally, he closed by waving his hands and making the food appear on the tables and with that he sat down.
Ally looked and watched as Dumbledore spoke. She smiled when all the food appeared, the Gryffindor table quickly getting loud. Ally glanced to Nate for a moment, curious as to what he thought of all this.
Nathan turned to Ally and said, "Wow this is amazing. I have never seen so much wonderful food all in one place." The table was laden with foods of all sorts. There was Italian food, American food, Chinese food and so much more. Nathan imeaditly began to load up his plate with food and eat.
"Yeah.." She shrugged, sighing softly. Ally wasn't very hungry so she just put a small amount of pasta on her plate along with some carrots. She ate a few bites in silence.
Nathan paused for a moment when he realized Ally wasn't talking. He turned to her and asked, l"is everything alright Ally you seem awfully quiet"
