Hey guys. One of our members, Nagwa Malik, has written two books which were published last year. Due to the practical difficulties of publishing books from Pakistan with limited resources, these two books haven't gotten the exposure they deserve. I myself planned to read them for a long time but couldn't get a hold of them because I didn't have a credit card to buy them online. The two books are:

The Mist Stage One: The Prelude

The Mist Stage Two: The Culmination

Now she has made these two books available for free for a few days so get them today. Btw, I'm not getting paid to promote these books :p Local authors should have more readers from Pakistan instead of having the majority of readers from other countries. Support local authors!

If you don't have an account on smashwords, go to this link and sign up for free.

Then go to
The Mist Stage One: The Prelude

Click the 'Buy' button on the right and in the box labeled 'Coupon Code' enter the code: EN62J

Then click 'Continue shopping' and then go to

The Mist Stage Two: The Culmination

Click 'Buy' and enter the coupon code: SG76J

Then click 'Checkout' and then you can download the books from smashwords or from your email inbox.

I'm going to read these two books myself soon.

Support local authors.

These two books are spy books and they cover the topics of terrorism and related issues. I'm sure most of you know that Pakistan is portrayed as a horrible place in Western movies, shows and books, with bombs going off in Islamabad every day and gun fights in the streets between terrorists and... other terrorists lol. So these books should give a more honest view of how things really are.

Nagwa Malik (nagwamalik) | 91 comments May I add that I really need the help of all Pakistani readers in getting reviews. As Asad asked me how we get books noticed and how they become best sellers on amazon for example, the answer is pretty disappointing: most of these bestsellers you see on amazon are made into bestsellers by writers paying certain book promo sites that artificially raise their ranking and provide for reviews. It is illegal to pay for reviews, so what they do is they go about it in a round about way, through these sites.
My books mainly target Pakistani readers. I wanted to be able to write something of an international level but for my people...for this purpose I published my ebook on smashwords as well as amazon. For Pakistanis smashwords is the option because it works in Pakistan easily and the registration is free. And right now both my books are free and I need you help getting as many reviews as i can within this month so that I can get to that list on amazon...so kindly help me get there with your honest reviews and your honest ratings...doesnt matter if you didnt much like it, mention why...as long as you read and rate my books...and let us put Pakistan on the map on a positive way once more and force people to sit up and notice. As we all know it is all about perception and image. We need to put the real Pakistan out there...and I am hoping you will help me do that? thank you
