Map of Bones by James Rollins

Starting on the 25th. I read the prologue just to get a feel of the book and it looks really good. This is my first Rollins book and it's a monster at over 600 pages. So far it's Terry, Addy, and one other person. Not sure how many chapters we want to read. Feel free to join us and add to the conversation!

I didn't get much time to start yesterday, so I've only read the prologue - right into the action!

Looks like chapters are around 30 pages in the book I have, so maybe start with two? Could maybe do three?

I don't think it hurts to not have read the first. It has some of the same characters but the stories are independent.

I also like the setting. I've actually been to Rome and the Vatican though my memory is a little sketchy as I was just a child. Perks of being a military brat.

Lol. Yes, many memories abound from our previous buddy read. That's the part I find most intriguing about this book.

Well, I had enough time to read the last few pages of Necroscope II earlier today (which was terrific by the way), but I'm not going to get my 2 chapters in on Map of Bones tonight (going to the movies with my kids). I should be able to read tomorrow though.

Sorry, I'm a little behind. I was trying to finish up some other books. So now I can focus on this one. Pg206(view spoiler)[the story of the gospel of Thomas and John was fascinating. Once again I'm glad I read that other book that discussed a lot of points on the missing gospels. I love this kinda stuff. Although I don't think Rachel will want to leave the group. (hide spoiler)]
