Cannot edit a book that I added

After I added a few books, some of them denied my permission to update the details of those books saying that I have only permission to edit the metadata. So I cannot update the book cover and pretty much everything else.

May I know the reason behind this, since I am a librarian too. Interestingly, not all of them have the same problem. Thank you!

You are not a librarian. The 'top librarian' ting on your profile is because adding new books is counted for that activity, so people can be in that list without being a librarian.
If you are not a librarian you have 24 hours to edit a book you have added.
