I'm unsure about the year of publishing... My book says it is reprinted in 1982, yet it has the same ISBN number as the original published book in 1980

As for the book cover, I've found this picture at Amazon:

I've added the (cropped) cover from Amazon to ISBN 9780719537387 Foreign Devils on the Silk Road. According to WorldCat, another edition was printed in 1982 with the same ISBNs; WorldCat shows REPR, which leads me to believe that the edition number did not change.

I have added a 1982 reprint edition indicating that the ISBN was reused: Foreign Devils on the Silk Road. I used the same cover image, so if that is not correct, please let me know so we can fix it. Does your copy show an edition number?

The copy I have doesn't mention an edition number, only that it was first published in 1980 and reprinted in 1982... So as you said, the edition number probably didn't change. As for the cover image, it is correct, so no need to fix it. Thanks for adding it.
