I don't know what to say about this book, Bella seems torn between Edward and Jacob. and she's going to do things her way, danger or no. There are a lot of versions of London which I didn't entirely understand, and I feel like it ended abruptly. There was some magic. I don't know, it never really captured my attention.

I have book 2 but I don't know if I care enough to go through it.

Of the three fantasy books I read for the series or the fantasy tag, (A Darker Shade of Magic, The Queen of the Tearling, and An Ember in the Ashes, I thought A Darker Shade of Magic was certainly the best.

I thought this one was OK. Liked the concept and the female lead. I actually liked the 2nd one better.
