I gave my very first TEDx Talk this April - A Detour is Not a Dead End. Since it was centered around the transformative power of the arts. I show several slides of my own, self taught mixed media work, created in order to process a decade of medical crises. In the talk I describe how I picked up painting "by accident" when I was stuck in the hospital, how I created one woman musical about my life to heal, and how creativity created a roadmap where there was none. Hope you enjoy it! Since I get asked this a lot, I also share a bit about how I "got" the talk. "A Detour is Not a Dead End"…27 Surgeries Later - https://www.amyoes.com/2016/06/17/ted...
