August (view spoiler)[I don't have a handle on the age of Addie. Was she only 13? I know at the start of the book it said she was a sophomore, so she must've been 15 or 16. The poem that talked about Mary and Gabrielle threw me off. lol

If I read it correctly she had an abortion. That's such a horrific emotional experience for a woman of any age, let alone a young girl. (hide spoiler)]

Addie's parents (view spoiler)[ seemed to handle it as well as could be expected. I'm glad they were supportive and that she is on the pill, too. Plus for Nick to stay by her side says a lot about him. (hide spoiler)]

Finished this one last night. I liked it, but I didn't connect with it too well for some reason. You know me. I'm character driven and I like to feel emotions, but I didn't connect in either way.

I thought the ending left too many things unanswered so that wasn't satisfying either.

I completely lost signal at the campground, as soon as we got there. I had about 10 minutes of being able to do anything on my phone.
after that, i couldn't even make phone calls ugh. it was frustrating

I agree. this was about 3 - 3.5 stars for me. but a very quick read :)

I agree with you! I was also glad for that. And it's okay that I didn't connect like I'd like to have. :o) I still liked the book.
