When I saw the title of this part, I wondered. And what a classic scheme. I like how it flows so well from the plot in Part 1 - that wasn't just a random sorceress story.

I liked the Angel scheme too, even if it ended in disaster.

I'm pretty bummed the priest/information broker with the dogs lied about the Danes though. I liked him.

It's not often Uhtred falls for a ruse, but this one was well planned and well executed.

SO the invasion is elsewhere after all. I also worry about Aethelflaed bringing her own troops and not hiding. It's way too easy to get killed in a skirmish.
