I leave for vacation this weekend (sat morning) and the library still shows this book "on order"

I'll start it as soon as I get back (assuming they will have "processed" it by then and sent it to me....)

That's the first day of our cousins camp and I'll be driving about 6 hours and then visit with family. I'll try reading some but may not be able to read much that day.

I haven't made it very far. hmmm....were we starting Saturday? I didn't see anything on this post and, from my "OMG I'm behind" buddy read list, this was my next one to start :)


but no worries, start whenever. I just finished the last book and grabbed this one next. I'm not sure how far I'll get tonight

okay, I'm a little over 100 pages (100 pages was at two chapters that had swear words in them so I went a little farther)

Chapter I just finished: Truth Bombs
and I stopped before starting: Quasimodo returns to the bell tower

Coop(view spoiler)[ he's adorable. I wonder what his story is. did he always have a crush on her? why did he always want to go to a party with her but he avoids her now. does he think she hates him? I guess she's a little frosty to him (hide spoiler)]

Stu(view spoiler)[ meh. I mean, there's nothing wrong with him but I don't find him to be amazing either (hide spoiler)]

Maddie(view spoiler)[ how tough. it's all kind of dropping at the same time. I think she's venting her anger about the break up at Sammie and that isn't fair - but the stress they've been under and the pressure. I think it makes sense she'd blow after such a disappointing loss at the competition (hide spoiler)]

Sammie(view spoiler)[ I'm so so sad. what a tough diagnosis. and I guess she's handling it good right now - denial will hopefully keep her healthier - but she also needs to be eating good and sleeping and....Yeah, like her mom said, maybe spend some time at home.
but maybe now with the loss, Sammie may have to start admitting that things needs to change (hide spoiler)]

I was able to read 40 pages but it's almost 1:00 AM and I'm meeting my 3 Oregonian grandchildren for breakfast at 8:30 and then driving home so I need to get to bed.

Niemann-Pick (view spoiler)[ What an awful disease that cheats people (and so YOUNG) out of a quality life and out of life. It would be so awful to be a mother of a child with PNC or be a person to have it. (hide spoiler)]

Sammie(view spoiler)[ seems to be handling it well, but it's progressive so not sure how long her positive attitude will remain. I think she's right to try maintaining a positive frame of mind and to believe and hope for the best. (hide spoiler)]

Stuart(view spoiler)[ I was worried about his intentions. I thought he might be writing and that was why he was wanting to spend so much time with her. I'm glad he was a good guy all along but it's good that he move on too. Get back to writing, get back to life (hide spoiler)]

I forgot to post here but I finished and I loved this book as well! It was informative and I loved how the author dealt with her illness. If you get a chance, read my review for it and that says it all for me.
