Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments Abigail, The title should not have been changed. If it's a single, or a very few, librarians who are doing this, I think a polite private message would be a good idea.

I agree with keeping secondary authors, editors, etc. - when known/given credit on the book - in the secondary author fields, and therefore kept searchable.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments Sometimes I think there's a few librarians who make edits simply to make edits. There's no reason your version of the bible has to say Holy Bible. Works are combined by authors so Various, Anonymous, or whatever as the first author will work for books.

This isn't one of those instances, but I've seen a lot of edits where the changes are so miniscule and unnecessary that I wonder why they were made at all.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments Yes, At that book edition, if you click edit, there's a check librarian log link on that page. You can see all the edits made to that book/edition. Every book here has that link. Not all edits show up for some reason but most of them do.

Abigail, I'm talking about even tinier things. ;-) And, they're obviously searched for because sometimes they're done for many books one after the other in the same editing session.
