"You're acting like a pervert." Rose said simply. She watched his red eyes intently, knowing that his Strigoi nature was strong and at the forefront. He would most likely end up killing her here tonight. So she nodded small and imperceptibly that she would use force if necessary. She looked at him with a small frown, confused that he was not walking towards her bit seemingly spreading out to behind her. But she was also rather thankful a moment later that he stood to her back. Since now he could not see the fierce scarlet blooming onto her cheeks. And then he started..... Teasing her. No that wasn't right. He was torturing her. Even more badly then those hooligans in the bathroom. She automatically closed her eyes as her body swayed backwards into his chest. Her breathing picked up pace as Rose finally realised why Mason had no end to woman. The bloody bastard was a pleasuring fiend. She moaned loudly before pressing her back fully into his chest as he started drinking from her. Her own hands lifted up to gently lay over his as she felt her body relax and be pleasured both from his alluring touch and the fact she was giving him life through her blood. Not only this but the feeling was only intensified since..... Well since Rose was a virgin in this arena too. She had never been bitten before. As a Crown Princess her status and her father never allowed it. He would be damned if anyone ever touched his daughter. Even her future husband. Oh if he knew that a Strigoi was feeding and touching her so he would declare an all out war in a millisecond. And also since Rose had never been fed from she had no control over what happened next. All Dhampirs shared a psychic link with those who fed from them. Well that was at least what she had been told by her uncle since this knowledge had been purposefully kept from her since it would never happen, her father's idea of course, but her uncle had shared the knowledge with her. Rose of course had had a hard time believing the man but now he would be proven right. So as Mason fed from her Rose's entire life, her thoughts, her feelings, her impressions, her memories, her desires, her hates, her loves, her very essence, that which made Rose herself flowed into Mason's mind. So now he got his wish. Her secrets were all laid bare. Her life an open book to him. From the day she first saw the sun and played in the garden, chasing after a butterfly while laughing. The day her father yelled at her for giving a peasant coin. The day she was attacked and her blood taken from her forcefully through a blood thirsty Strigoi who had teared her neck open. Hence why it didn't count as her first time. To the day she was told by her father she was to marry a Prince, a stranger in two years time. How she had wept that night and stared at the moon. How she had forgotten about it only to be reminded two years later that she would marry a Bear Shifter. To the night she had escaped her home. To the very first time she had laid eyes on Mason in that small shabby gym room. How his face was pale, his hair dark, his sapphire blue eyes pained. How he seemed so mysterious to her. Everything.

Every second was pure ecstasy.

Not only just the from the strength that was returning to his body, filling every limb one by one, but also the blood by itself. It was the purest form of joy that he had ever known. Blood alone could make him do unimaginable things, but this, her blood, it was unbearable how extraordinary it was. Mason had fed on many people, more than he would ever like to admit, but no one had even come close to having blood like this. This was pure and fresh and young, yet delicious and full of energy that lacked in most blood. This was a whole new experience and he did his best not to succumb to its power. His body moved against her, almost as if he'd like to mold their bodies to one. In every way possible, they fit.

Mason's lips sucked greedily from the two, small punctures, swallowing the steady stream of blood to his mouth. He was sure it was covering his lips, splattering against her bare shoulder and what not, but he couldn't help it. He couldn't contain himself any longer.

Well, at least until the visions started to come. It was as if someone had zapped his mind, sending him through a series of short films. Each one showed a little girl: playing, dancing, and talking throughout her years. It was easy to guess who this was, and even what was happening. He had heard rumors of such a thing, but never before had he actually experienced it.

Rose.

A man, probably a dad, called out the name and the girl responded to it. That had to be her name. Before then, he had only thought of her as Ethan. Oh, but Rose fit so much better. She was a rose, probably ready to pierce him with her thorns, but beautiful and unique once you are close enough to enjoy her.

The only thing that had enough power to cause Mason to pull away, pull his lips form her heavenly skin, was the vision of the Strigoi vampire. He could see it clearly, see the man tear her neck apart. In that moment, he was reminded of who he was and then, came to realization of what he was doing. He wanted to pull away. He wanted to really badly, but he couldn't until the sharing of memories was done. One by one they passed and it all began to make sense. Her healing ability, all the way to her hiding out at this school. It was strangest seeing himself. For the first time, he saw what she saw, saw how helpless and weak he looked.

It sickened him.

Through the intoxicating blood and even just her addicting presence, he forced himself to pull away. It was not too hard, due to how stricken the small Strigoi scene had been, along with seeing himself, made him. His fangs retracted from her skin, while his head pulled away, leaving the blood before he should have. He had not taken enough and probably had not even affected Rose's blood level too much either, but he couldn't go on. Taking a step back, his hand raised sloppily to his lips, wiping the blood from them in a swift movement. His eyes squeezed shut before he saw the blood spilled over her pale skin, standing out as if to beckon him to help clean it up. Or even, to keep himself from returning like half of him so desperately wanted.

"Rose.." The simple name slipped from his lips, pained and rough. Oh, Rose.

message 103: by [deleted user] (new)

Rose opened her eyes and frowned as she felt Mason pull away. He wasn't done yet. There was still room for blood to be taken safely. She bit her lip to stop a moan of protest at his pulling away. Then as he did and she heard his voice say her name, say who she was she frowned even more. Through the haze that is. Despite Mason not taking too much Rose had never properly given blood before. And hence, the first time effects were in play. It made the next few moments utterly comical. "Say what now?" She slurred as she turned swingingly around. Her cheeks were pale but not sickly so. "What you say?" She asked as she frowned and looked, well looked rather drunk. "How's yous no that?" She said as she brought a hand up and rubbed her tired eyes after yawning hugely. Then she smiled lazily at him. "Aww you know my secret. Princess Auris Luna Silver at your service!" Rose said as she saluted and then bowed with exaggeration. Then she grinned wickedly as she seemed to sway, wobble and dance her way into his arms. "Your too freaking sad Mason." She said a moment before leaning up on her toes and placing her lips against his in a raw passionate and yet gently sweet kiss. When she pulled away she smiled small as she grinned. "Pervert." She said lovingly as she leaned forward and hugged him, wrapping her arms around his waist and burying her head into his chest before going limp.

message 104: by [deleted user] (new)

Mason cracked the smallest of smiles, only because she was completely out of it. Prior to biting her, it only seemed natural that she had been bitten before. Now, and after the slideshow of her life, it was clear she hadn't; it was not uncommon for people to act this way. Seeing it right infront of him should have made him laugh, should have lifted his mood, but it didn't. Oh, the moment she stepped closer, the blood left on her skin only tempted him farther, calling out to him to have another go.

As she appraoched, finally leaning up to kiss him, before collapsing in his arms, he did nothing, made no physical reaction to any of hers. If it had been anyone else, he might have been proud of such a kiss, but it only concerned him more.

Shit, he couldn't even think twice about the kiss. Not with her freaking blood beneath his nose. Reluctantly, he tilted his head down and lightly ran his tongue along her shoulder and neck, cleaning up the extra blood he had left. When he finally pulled away, he slid his arms around her, to support her limp body. "You made such a mess.." He teases softly, attempting to lift his own, depressed mood. It was proving to be easy, due to how elated her blood had made him only a minute prior.

message 105: by [deleted user] (new)

Rose didn't respond since she was by now heavily in dreamland. She shivered though as Mason licked the access blood from her neck but other then that she remained limp and silent. She would of course live and be totally normal in the morning and not even have a headache but she would have her memory and be utterly starved. Then again she could worry about it later since for now she was out and out cold. She did however snuggled close to Mason, even whispering his name as she slept and dreamed of that delicious bite. Rose would upon waking wonder who was more intoxicated with the other. He or she herself?

message 106: by [deleted user] (new)

Mason could not remember his own, first time being bitten. Despite being the Prince of the Strigoi, his parents never cared to shelter their child from such things. It probably had been with a fellow child in the castle, perhaps one of his friends. Now, it did not matter because the past was gone and long over.

Bending down, Mason slid his hands beneath Rose's body, lightly scooping her bridal style into his arms. Shifting her weight -- which wasn't much -- from arm to arm, he carried her towards the small bed pushed against the wall. One look at the bed made him crinkle his nose. This was the Princess in his arms, after all. He could not just toss on the old thing with good conscience. Turning around, still griping her easily, he laid her lightly onto his own bed. It was much bigger, softer and over all much better quality. Lightly placing her head against a plush pillow, he reached down for the covers and tucked her them up and around her. Yawning softly, he sat on the edge of the bed, running a hand through the mess of hair on top his head. He could not even begin to comprehend the events of the day.

message 107: by [deleted user] (new)

Rose had yet again snuggled into Mason's body. Her own seemingly intent on the action. She felt on a subconscious level that she had been placed onto a warm, large and incredibly soft bed and sighed softly as she snuggled now into this bed. Well. Perhaps she was just a snuggler. Rose curled onto her side and into a small ball as she had done in the infirmary. Then she was still Ethan and it had looked weird coming from a guy. Now as herself, as Rose it looked right. It made her even more beautiful in fact. She was tired but full despite Mason feeding from her. She would sleep well. On any other night. But tonight she had been gang beaten and left drowning on her own blood on a cold and hard white tiled public bathroom while her blood painted it red. Soon her betraying mind only saw their faces. Heard their crude remarks and laughter. Felt their bows. Soon Rose curled even smaller as she lifted her hands up and over her head into a defence position as she had in the bathroom, protecting her head from the fierce blows. She started whining and whimpering. "No.... No..... No..... Leave..... Leave me...... Alone.....Please...... Please don't hurt me........" She sobbed out as new and fresh tears spilled over her closed lidded eyes and down her soft pale cheeks. Soon she was tossing around, clearing in distress as her heart galloped.

message 108: by [deleted user] (new)

Throughout all his life, Mason always was a light sleeper. Sure, he could fall asleep in only moments, but it was always as if his conscience was swimming on top of sleep and reality, easily tossed between the two. After he had eventually rose from his thoughts and position seated on the edge of the bed, he had turned to see the girl laying in his bed.

She was something. With her hair finally out of that stupid cap, and her body relaxed from sleep, she looked flawless. His breath caught in his throat, and it took all he had not to touch her in some way or be near her. He didn't know what the swirling mix of feelings inside was, but the moment his eyes fell on her, he knew she had everything to do with it.

Pulling his attention away, he decided watching her too long might come off as creepy. Walking to her rugged bed, he easily slid his shirt off before tossing it aside. Sleeping without it was not a habit he'd find easy to break. Dropping onto his back, his eyes trained on the ceiling while a hand rested on his hard stomach. This only lasted moments until he was whisked off to sleep.

As it only moments later, he was shaken awake by the calls of the Princess. Immediately jumping to his feet, as if she was actually getting attached, he headed to her side again. "Rose.. Rose, it's a dream." He whispered quietly, crouching beside her sleeping figure. Reaching out tentatively, his fingers brushed against her cheek, attempting to calm her in multiple ways; hopefully if his voice did not awake her, his touch would."You are safe, I won't let them hurt you." His voice was soft and light, innocent from the nighttime.

message 109: by [deleted user] (new)

Rose's nightmare was only worsening. But then something happened. It changed. There came a new voice. A new sight. A new feeling. It chased the bad away and embraced her. Encircling her into safety and love and warmth. Outside Rose remained asleep but her tears stopped as she started settling back. A small smile appeared on her sweet face. "Mason..." She whispered out steadily and softly. For it was a direct reaction to what was happening inside her head. He chased them away! He saved her. And then he kissed her... Rose's cheeks automatically blossomed pink as her dream took an unexpected turn. Unaware the man himself was watching her right this very moment. Oh she was going to have on hell of a morning that was for sure. Suddenly and unsuspectingly Rose's small hands shot out, grabbed the figure brining her comfort in her dream. But outside she really grabbed Mason. In the dream she pulled them closer and whispered something softly. In reality she did the same. Pulling him onto the bed with her and snuggled close into his body, again moulding perfectly together Rose whispered, "Stay.... Hold me..." She breathed as she nuzzled her head into his chest and wrapped her arms around his firm steady body.

message 110: by [deleted user] (new)

The moment his name passed through her small, sweet lips, Mason already caved. It was in that moment, that moment of complete weakness for her, that it turned into a moment of complete weakness for him. He would do anything for that voice, for this person before him. A smirk erupted over his features as he watched the color fold over her cheeks, only able to imagine what was happening. Hopefully it was as good as the real thing. He had imagined to return to his bed, spending the rest of the night cold and rather alone. Plan's change, apparently. For being quite small, the girl could really pull. He fell forward, unsuspecting she would do such a thing. Quickly, he caught himself and shifted his body so he was parallel to her. Part of him was unsure of this, skeptical that Rose would be so inclined to such a sleeping pattern when she awoke but the other half of him wished to hold her as requested, falling asleep to the soft beat of her human heart. In the end, that part won over. He wrapped his arms loosely around her, one hand moving to run through her long, curly hair. Breathing softly, he responded after a moment of silence. The response did not seem to matter, because she was alseep, but he spoke anyway. "Whatever you wish." With that, his body curled with hers, as if he alone, could keep her form the world that would corrupt such a pure and beautiful thing.

message 111: by [deleted user] (new)

The next morning Rose woke up with a yawn. She smiled as she rubbed her eyes like a small child. She then stretched her body out, feeling the gloriousness of having no pain before finally blinking her eyes lazily open. She had known as she came closer and closer to consciousness that there was a solid, strong, warm and loving form in front of her, protecting her and keeping her safe from the world's little evils. Only when she saw who said form was and how they were entangled... Well Rose's cheeks turned scarlet as she screamed and reared back, subsequently falling onto the floor. She then made an 'oomhp' sound before shooting up and staring at Mason with a death glare. Her eyes red and fuming. She pointed a small hand and long delicate finger at him as her fangs extended. "You bloody pervert!" She said before walking back and smacking into the wall. "How dare you touch me!" Then as full blown awarenesses hit her Rose's memory of the night before came flooding back. The following result quite unique. She started pacing. Then Rose's eyes widened as her mouth gaped. "Oh shit! I kissed you! How could I kiss you?! I mean yeah sure your hot but I was out of it! And you! Why didn't you move you freaking deuce! Ugh if my father finds out he'll skin you alive for touching me! Oh God you fed from me! Oh this is bad so so so soooo bad! He'll never let me out of the castle after this! I'll die old and alone and a freaking virgin! No way will I ever get married or have a family or anything! Oh God I can hear the lecture right now! And you! What are you doing out of your Kingdom Mr Strigoi Prince! Ugh this is a disaster! My life is over! And your.... Your just laying there like Mr Freaking Cool! Ugh I hate you! I hate that your blood makes me all vampy and I hate that your such a mystery and I hate that I want to kiss you again!" At that Rose stopped. Her mouth gaped again before she brought a hand to cover her mouth. Her eyes wide again before groaning and heading to the bathroom, closing the door behind her. However she excited a moment later and grabbed a pillow off of her own bed and threw it at Mason. "Jackass!" She shouted before returning to the bathroom to continue her pacing and mutterings.

message 112: by [deleted user] (new)

Mason was tired.

But, out of his control, he was forced awake by a scream and someone pushing away. It took him a moment to gain some sort of consciousness, already having missed half of her little rant. Somehow, he had known this would happen. Memories of the prior night flooded back and he couldn't help the light mood he felt due to it. Ignoring the other half of her speech, only catching bits and pieces here and there, he tucked his head into the pillow, the only visible part of him being his bare back and mess of brown hair. The muscles on his back were relaxed, yet firm and strong from working out. The blanket had long ago been tossed off the side of the bed. Once he was sure she was done speaking, he tilted his head sideways for a moment, so his words would not be muffled by the pillow.

"Shut up."

He spoke it with all the kindness he could muster at such an early time in the day. Moving his face back to its spot against the fabric of the pillow, his arms bent above it, relaxing lazily. He didn't care what she was doing, but her talking was keeping him from sleeping longer.

message 113: by [deleted user] (new)

"What?!" Rose roared as she stormed out of the bathroom. She headed over and grabbed Mason's feet, pulling him down slightly as she then rolled him over onto his back before hopping onto the bed and sitting down on top of him. Subsequently straddling his waist. "What did you tell me?" Rose asked him softly but deadly. She didn't realise how inappropriate she was being or anything. She was just so mad! And then seeing those blue sapphire eyes staring up at her..... Rose's cheeks bloomed pink as her breath caught. Her own eyes soft now as her hands lay flat against his chest. "I..." She started and stopped. She didn't know what to say or what to do. For once in her life Auris Luna Silver had nothing to say, no inkling of what to do. However there was an impression deep at the back of her head. So a moment later she shrugged and then incredibly leaned down, closing her eyes and sealing her lips over his as she kissed Mason again much the same way as last night. Here no one knew her. No one could tell her parents. No one would know and what's more she could blame it on the first feeding effect so for once Rose broke all the rules of normal etiquette as she moaned softly against his glorious mouth.

message 114: by [deleted user] (new)

Mason would never understand girls. Never. He had tried many, many times but they were so confusing that he eventually had given up on any hope of ever figuring them out. This was one of those moments. Just minutes earlier she had been going off about how he was touching her.. something about a pervert.. and whatever, yet here she was, sitting basically on top of his crotch, expecting him to feel as if he was the one at fault.

And then she kissed him. The damn girl couldn't seem to make up her mind.

Now that was the right way to be waken up. With her hands against his bare skin, while her lips touched his, he could only close his eye's and return the favor, right? He lifted his head slightly, one hand raising to cup the side of her face as they kissed. It started as a gentle kiss, but soon, somehow it heated up between them. Before it was even heated, before Mason could even add a bit of tongue into the kiss, she was already moaning. Oh, he could make her moan much harder, he was sure.

Having enough of being the submissive one, Mason reached his other hand up to her waist. In one swift movement, he flipped them. Her back fell to the bed while he hovered above her. Continuing the kiss, their lips and tongues turning from a slow dance into more of an aggressive tango. His forearms held him up, placed on either side of her head. Everything about the moment heated up his body, reminding him that not everything was about blood. Not everything was about the vampire in them. In that moment, he watched himself carefully, making sure not to cross any lines, but pushing them just enough that he would see how she'd react. His hands stayed away from her body, but his lips moved rougher against hers.

message 115: by [deleted user] (new)

Rose found herself unable to think. It was strange, not being able to string a single coherent thought together. But then again who would want to think with this sex god on top of her? Since Rose realised even in the mess that was her mind that Mason had turned the tables on them. On her. Rose responded kindly to his touch. She arched her back as she moaned even louder, her hands finding his chest again as she roamed and explored his body. God he would most likely end up killing her this way. Now who would have thought that possible? Certainly not a sexually naive Rose was not really taught about the birds and the bees since her father decided the moment she was birthed into the world and he saw her sweet pale blue eyes that no one would ever touch her. He would hence die, come back and kill Mason before dying again if he saw this scene right now. But, he wasn't there. No one was except Rose and Mason. And God did that suit her just fine. Mason was also Rose's first kiss. Ever. It seemed that with Mason there was a lot of 'firsts'. As a bit of tongue was introduced Rose made a hesitant noise as she tensed her body. Though a moment later that eased as she got used to it and enjoyed it. The only problem now was that she couldn't exactly seem to catch her breath. Bloody Strigoi vampires that could go longer without air. Soon Rose pushed gently against Mason's chest, their lips un-attaching as she took a huge breath and exhaled slowly. A goofy grin on her face along with a bright blush. Soon the grin faded as she looked up at Mason incredibly shyly. She played with his collar bone, her long pale delicate fingers gently against his skin as she tried to distract herself.

message 116: by [deleted user] (new)

"You're adorable," Mason spoke after a moment of silence, a thoughtful smirk edging the corner of his lips. He was not really all that rounded by the kiss, mostly because he had a lot of practice. He could tell she had not, on the other hand. Possibly by her inability to go two seconds without blushing, or perhaps the way her body seemed hesitant with each new corner he pushed. His forearms still rested on either side of her head. One shifted slightly, while he trailed the back of his fingers against her cheek, tracing the blush faintly. "Good morning, Rose." He murmured softly, aching to hear her moan, to feel her body press against his again. Even if she was new to this all, it didn't really matter; in fact, it made things almost better. Now, Mason could remember his first kiss. It had been with a girl named Ella Baldwin. She was interesting.. that is. Around the age of five, they had gotten lost playing together. One thing led to another and .. that's where it started. All the other firsts came not long after. Her hands roaming his body were the favorite part. He wasn't about to force her to do anything, at least not yet, so he leaned down, capturing one more kiss from her lips before lightly falling sideways, onto his side.

message 117: by [deleted user] (new)

Rose was only scooted into being even more shy around Mason. Bloody man just had that effect on her. Her breath caught as he touched her cheek, her eyes fluttering closed for a brief moment before opening again. "Hey Mason." She whispered back in her true soft feminine voice that could sound different at different times. Without knowing his thoughts Rose wanted the exact same thing. With the obvious difference that their pasts were extremely different. She wondered what Mason thought of her. He was a player while she had never played. At all. The girls he normally went after were hooker types with one night stands. Rose was definitely the true love forever type of girl. But for now she didn't really care. This was a fun thing. Right? She frowned when Mason moved away. She thought he was pulling back but smiled bright a moment later when he merely landed beside her. Before she really knew it she turned onto her side as well, hugging him close as she hid her face into his chest. Not really knowing how to proceed with this... Whatever this was.

message 118: by [deleted user] (new)

If Mason really thought about it, it was slightly disturbing to think that just yesterday morning, he had thought this human was a raging homosexual. Look at what had happened now. It was a strange, yet pleasant twist of events. Every second was agony with her, not knowing if he could touch her, or hold her as he wished.Right now, he struggled with this, his eyes showing just the edge of his eternal thoughts. Holding her to him, he rubbed her back lightly, nonchalantly, before moving his lips to brush against her ear. "Tell me what you want." He hushed softly, his breath running over her ear, as their feet tangled together once again. Even as he spoke, his lips moved down to her neck, beginning to lightly kiss above the puncture wounds, until he moved his gentle row of kisses down, down to the corner of her not-so-low shirt. He wasn't being very sensual, just light and flirty as he moved, pushing her to do nothing but make her own choice.

message 119: by [deleted user] (new)

The words that popped out of Rose's mouth were not really sexy or sensual. In fact they were utterly hysterical. The problem was Rose was so unused to this type of situation that when Mason asked her what she wanted she didn't really think along those lines per say. So she replied with the answer she thought she really wanted at that moment. "I want food and lots of it. I'm starved after you bit me." She replied softly. She giggled though a moment later she Mason kissed her. Her skin so sensitive it tickled for the moment. She squirmed though, loving how they cuddled and teased each other. Loving the fact their feet curled around each other. Rose didn't move away though as Mason pulled out some of his tricks on her. Since Rose was no fool. She knew he was capable of much much more. She breathed faster as her heart picked up speed as she lay beside Mason. She tilted her head also for his kisses. She liked very much being this way with him. How gently and respectful he was being towards her. Then Rose realised something. He was a Strigoi. "You must be hungry again. You can have some if you want." She told him softly as she pulled away and looked into his eyes warmly.

message 120: by [deleted user] (new)

Her first words came, while he placed the last kiss against her collar bone. Unable to hold it in, he laughed out loud. Really, he couldn't help it. Her answer had been so innocent and naive, that even he was taken aback. Once again, he came across the strange concept of the worth of food. It seemed so stupid to him, so wasteful. "You can go get food,if you'd like." He murmured in response, this time wrapping his arms around her waist and lightly pulling her in. One hand accidentally pushed her shirt a bit off her stomach, showing nothing really. Tugging her closer, he nuzzled his face into her neck, still exhausted. Moving his nose and lips against the tender skin, he shook his head at her suggestion. "I should be okay for a couple days." He informed softly, knowing he'd give in prior to that. His words were spoken against her skin, slightly muffled.

message 121: by [deleted user] (new)

Rose giggled in surprise as Mason pulled her closer. She smiled brightly against him as she curled about him. Not minding the small slip of lifting her shirt up. Though she did tug it down a moment later. Truthfully she wanted food but she didn't want to leave Mason's warm and his body either. What a true dilemma. Rose bit her lip as she closed her eyes as Mason spoke against her skin, sending a shiver throughout her body. She nuzzled against him as well and knew he was being silly. "Think with your head Mason. This isn't healthy, holding back. That's the thing with your species. You act as if there is only blood in that moment. There will always be blood Mason. If only you learned to take a little from each person. Sure it might take twenty people before your thirst is even slightly quenched but... Do you see what I'm getting at? I don't mind what you are. I just want you to not hold back. It'll only cause you pain. Take a little now, please, for me?" Rose had never shared her thoughts on the subject of Strigoi and blood before. Not even to her uncle. Much less to a Strigoi. She started playing with his hair as she tilted her head again for him. She was going to help him she realised then and there. She would make it better. Learn Mason to get control. No matter what. She owed him her life after all.

message 122: by [deleted user] (new)

The words she vocalized made logical sense, but it was completely different than that. How could one take small amounts, when the moment he drinks from their blood, all control disappears. It wasn't like a switch that could be turned on and off, no, one either wanted blood or didn't. There was no little find a volunteer to help you. It was about finding a human, killing them, sucking them clean. That's how it works, how it always worked. Mason didn't feel like arguing such a point though, so he merely ignored her outstretched neck. Instead, he brought her wrist to his fangs. Breaking the skin, he began to drink there.

As before, the wonderful liquid gushed into his mouth, just not quite as rapidly as yesterday. Laying there, not lying on his back, he took the smallest of amounts before tugging his lips away. "Thank you," He murmured softly, now closing his eyes and slowly releasing Rose from his grip. "You should go learn about some food." He suggested softly, unwrapping themselves so if needed, some could leave and walk out. In reality, he had not drank barely any blood, but still, he felt strong.

message 123: by [deleted user] (new)

Rose was surprised when Mason ignored her neck. But was pleased he did take her up on her offer. As before her eyes closed as she moaned softly as his fangs pierced her skin. She seemingly sunk into the bed and her body relaxed utterly. She smiled as he drank from her but frowned a moment later at his pulling away. He barely had any. Rose brought her now already healing wrist up and caressed his cheek with her own soft hands. Without even thinking about it the words slipped out of her lips. "I need you to keep my secret and you need a blood donor. What you say?" She asked him softly before leaning up and kissing his lips gently and softly as her hand splayed open across his cheek. This wasn't a passionate kiss or a lusty kiss. It was a kiss Mason might never even had experienced before. It was a kiss of kindness, gentleness and of love from a pure soul. She didn't want to see him suffering any more. She wanted to make it better.

It was easy to imagine what Mason might have done with anyone else in this morning situation. Perhaps he might have said something seductive before leading into some hot, steamy sex. Perhaps it would not have mattered what either had said, because usually, all that mattered was what their bodies could give the other.

Oh, it would never be like that with Rose. She was like a delicate flower he did not want to corrupt or break; of course he had already done one of those things. Mason accepted the kiss, before sliding up until he sat with his back against the wall. Lightly pulling her up too, his expression turned serious. Keeping her secret would be easy, but how could se ever give up herself like that to him? Did she know exactly how often he needed blood? He might hurt her, it was bound to happen at some time. His gaze flickered from her lips to her eyes, a slightly pained look passing behind them. "I can't.. I can't do that to you." He whispered after a moment, squeezing his eyes shut to her expressions and response. Even as he spoke the words, he knew he could. He could very well and he might even need her. Her blood was unlike any others, his body craved that. Craved exactly what e did not want to give it.

Rose was again surprised that Mason was moving. She didn't like it at first. She noticed he pulled himself up to sit against the wall. She smiled and was more pleased a moment later when he pulled her up as well. Her body instantly responded to his. Curling about him as she was pressed to him. She looked up at him and saw the pain pass between his eyes, knowing his thoughts without even hearing them. He wanted to say yes but feared for her safety. He wanted to accept but was afraid. She smiled small and leaned up, kissing his cheek. "Your different from the other's Mason. But you still think to much. I'm stronger then I seem. You won't hurt me." She said before bringing her hand up and using her finger flicked his forehead. She giggled some before extracting herself from him finally. The morning was late, the day begun. It was time to get ready. Rose grabbed some clothes from her dresser drawer before heading into the bathroom and taking a shower to perform the necessary bathing routine before getting out. She brushed her teeth and combed her hair while standing in her towel before drying further off. She bound her breasts in bandages again before getting dressed in some long black pants, nice shiny black shoes, a crisp white shirt and then a black blazer with a grey stylish cap on her head, again hiding her waterfall of brown curls. When she stepped out of the bathroom again Rose was gone. Ethan returned as she grabbed her book and looked to her charge. Creepily in her now expert male voice she said, "You best get ready."

She was wrong about that. He wasn't different.. if she only knew what he thought about, what his body craved from her, she would be scared. He doubted anyone other than a Strigoi could really understand what it was like to completely lose yourself. The moment it happened, there was no going back, no ability to think. It wasn't just while in the presence of blood. It was the desire to kill. In that moment, that the body stopped moving and breathing, one could feel alive. Even if Mason hated himself for months after a kill, he could by deny that in the moment, he had never felt more alive and like himself. Sometimes he wondered why he even fought it. It was stupid and useless at this point, anyway.

Raising from the bed, he headed over to his own dresser. Someone had transferred all his clothes and even, he noticed upon opening up a draw, folded a few shirts and what not. Slipping out of his pants, he tugged on some dark jeans in return. Never caring much what he wore, he pulled out baseball looking shirt before also sliding that on. Her voice trickled to his ears, but the only acknowledgement he have her was a small nod. The voice was unsettling now, along with the appearance be assumed, without looking back at her. "Damn, that's creepy," he murmured, setting his old clothes aside.

Rose chuckled. "Is it really? I always thought it was amazing, being able to change oneself so." She replied as she stepped closer to him. Dammit this was going to be hard. She just couldn't seem to not want to touch him. No, she just wanted to feel him, kiss him, have his blood trickling down her own throat. She suddenly cleared said throat to try and clear her own head.

Unfortunately her body without her consent had already moved. Rose stood behind Mason now. Her arms slipped around his waist as her hands rested low on his torso. She kissed the place between his shoulder blades before pressing herself shamelessly into him. "How am I going to stay away from you?" She murmured softly against his back.

"You had me convinced," Mason commented thoughtfully after a moment, his gaze raising to the picture on the wall before him. It had a meadow displayed against the fading paper. "I thought you were a raging homosexual, actually." Adding this, one hand reached up to trace the paint strokes that somehow created the scenic view. Once he began to feel her touch, his body tensed slightly, before relaxing as she molded herself against him. Even when in guy form, he was sure to go crazy from this. From these simple touches, from the smell that lifted off her skin, dancing around his nose.

"You could pretend I'm gay and just made out with a male, that seemed to work for Sarah." He spoke lightheartedly, not really caring about the girl, Sarah. His voice had an edge of amusement, along with the usual confidence that seemed to underlie most of Mason's speech. Without thinking, he moved his own hand to gently rub her, still trying to figure out who the artist was of the picture. A name was written below it, but it seed impossible to read.

message 129: by [deleted user] (new)

Rose merely chuckled. She remembered the joke well since it was the catalyst for the events leading to this very one. She didn't know what to think really. Should she be glad or should she be afraid? Or both? Sighing her own hand captured his which stroked her skin. She noticed Mason's attention being draw to the picture hanging on the wall. She smiled small as she released him and stood beside him now. "Beautiful isn't it?" She asked knowing the answer would be yes. She then turned her head towards Mason's and realised he was puzzled. "The artist was a centuries old Dryad named La Fey. She only painted nature scenes to better evoke her heritage. She died aged 6, 901. There were many rumours around the cause of her death but the most believed tale is that she died from a broken heart after the death of her most cherished lover." Rose told Mason just as the breakfast bell rang throughout the school halls.

message 130: by [deleted user] (new)

In all honesty, Mason wasn't focusing at all on the picture. Who cared who painted it? He was just attempting to not focus on her. Why was it so difficult, to think of other things? Why was her simple touch enough to drive him over the edge. He shifted his gaze sideways, his eyes catching hers at the last moment. There was a strange intensity in them, one that he usually lacked. The blue seemed sharper and almost more contrasting with his pale skin. The next thing he did, was completely out of his control. Around her, his body had a mind of its own. It moved before he could stop it, not that he would have anyway. Bending over, his hands glided against her cheeks, before his lips followed. Capturing hers, he kissed her tenderly. The bell rang above them, but it held little importance in Mason's opinion.

message 131: by [deleted user] (new)

Rose's eyes widened as she made a 'oom' noise of surprise. Her body tensed and seemed to freeze. But that only lasted a moment since she had been caught by surprise. Not that she minded this however, indeed this new course of events were utterly welcome and most pleasing. Rose's eyes grew warmer as she closed them before her body relaxed and stepped into Mason's more firmly. She brought her own hands up to cup his cheeks as she started kissing him back feverishly. Oh yes, he would definitely end up killing her if these stolen moments kept occurring. Not that Rose minded at all. No indeed if someone was to die this was by far a most pleasant way to go. Soon she started moaning as her heart sped and her breath ragged. She pressed herself against him, wanting more. Her hands started moving through his hair, grabbing and tugging as her body heated and pulsed. Shit what a effect he had on her.

message 132: by [deleted user] (new)

Of all the reactions that could have come, the one she gave was the best he could imagine. When her body first tensed, he wondered in the back of his mind that he might be too greedy, want too much from her. But it soon became clear that the both needed the other, even in the smallest of ways, like this kiss. Not only did he smell her addicting blood, but all the soft scent of her shampoo. He could taste a certain sweetness in her mouth, while his hands only brought her closer. Closer, until there was no room between their bodies; not even a breath of air could squeeze there. Oh, he would take her now if he could. He could feel more than just his lips wishing for her. A rough moan escaped between his lips while his hands slipped around her back, sliding downwards. At the last second, before he would completely devour everything she would give him, he pulled away, panting quietly. "B-breakfast? We should go to breakfast." The words came out choppy and showed exactly how frazzled her lips made him.

message 133: by [deleted user] (new)

When Mason pulled away Rose gasped for air. Her eyes were glazed in a way as she stood there, staring at the wall but at nothing really. Her lips parted as she tried desperately to regain her stolen breath and heart that seemed to be galloping away from her. Her body ached in a odd way as a burning fire started to ease away. She didn't understand a thing that was happening to her physically. Well, she could after going through her uncle's adult book collection once but boy oh boy were those books way off base. Everything was so much more enjoyable, intense. After a moment Rose had caught her breath, her heart easing. She didn't know why Mason had pulled away but perhaps it was best despite her disappointment. After all, this would just be sex to him, another name to add to his little black book. Rose would be forgotten in an instant with the next pretty face he saw. She was sure he would no doubt today still slip away and seduce and partake in matters of the naked flesh with another as soon as she turned her back. Rose hid her sad frown and looked up at him, the seemingly robot emptiness now gone as she regained her wits from his devastating lips. "Breakfast.... Yes..... Sure." She said still dazedly as she smoothed her clothes and collected her book and headed to the door, opening it and stepping aside, waiting for Mason to exit first. And the thing about it all was that Rose had no idea how she affected him.

message 134: by [deleted user] (new)

Perhaps he was imagining this all. Perhaps he was the only one slowly dying inside, because every moment he spent, he couldn't stop thinking about her. It was strange to feel this way. Sure, he was known for enjoying a little sexual pleasure once in awhile, but had he ever really felt something for a girl? Before now, he had always viewed them as .. well, toys. It was terrible really, but he couldn't deny that he had not thought about how replaceable and flimsy they seemed. Perhaps that was why, he always stuck to hooking up once in awhile, no strings attached type of relationships. There was never anyone he wanted to keep around.

Until now.

How did she seemed so.. unaffected? He had to be imagining the tension between them, because she sure as hell didn't act as if there was any. A distraught expression laid on his features while he stepped outside the door, waiting for a moment before heading down the hallway with her. Shoving a hand through his hair, he muddled through these thoughts while walking, thinking little about the day and all the classes he would have to attend eventually. One foot in front of the other, he headed on, while his hand tingled slightly from the interaction with her.

Rose was slightly panicked. As she walked a reasonable distance behind Mason today, living up to her 'shadow boy' nickname she was reading her book, thinking that she needed to act more in lines of a bodyguard then an advisor. She would give him his space until he wasn't even aware she was behind him, like a true shadow. So Rose had thought to bring her murder mystery book with her to keep herself busy and ignore Mason's flamboyant flirting ways. But she had miscalculated. As they walked towards the massive dining hall Rose kept sneaking glances at Mason's tight and fine... backside. She bit the inside of her mouth as her cheeks blossomed. Shit. She just wanted to sidle up and give his rump a squeeze. She only brightened more as she became aware that she had never had such desires before. She took another glance and this time her eyes roamed up. His muscled back was so handsome to her. Oh my God! His back! Seriously! I'm drooling over his back?! Rose had to swallow hard as she felt herself heat up. Oh she was never going to survive this day. Right now she held onto her book so tightly since she feared she would near him and touch him. She couldn't. Not as Ethan. She however kept her face blank as a true chameleon would and gave nothing away. Only the intense fire in her eyes speaking of her inner battle since like Mason, Rose spoke through her eyes. Well, when she forgot to hide it any ways. Soon they entered the dining hall and thankfully the rich aroma of a more fuller dinning hall took Rose's mind away as she squealed softly in delight. "So much food!" She said excitedly as her mind landed on something other then devouring Mason's fine body and heart.

message 136: by [deleted user] (new)

Completely unaware of Rose's thoughts and prying eyes behind him, Mason was too focused on two things. One of them being his little friend down south. Shit, he didn't really know what to do. There was no obvious answer to this little problem. Rose would be the complete and utter end to him. All hee could really do but attempt to focus on other things in an effort to control himself. The second thing was, the sudden realization that he had been gone for almost three months. The school had little contact with the Strigoi, but still, why was there no questions about the missing Prince? Why did no one guess that he was here, it was not as if this was an ingenious plan. These thoughts floated around his head, reminding him that he had a whole lot more to worry about than just his horny teenage boy tendencies. Since they had finally made it to the mess hall, the talk of many classmates filled their ears. The chatter and laughter was normal, but less irritating than it usually would be. Glancing over his shoulder at 'Ethan', he flashed a small smile before heading over to the fruit. Grabbing a simple apple, despite hating the idea of touching it, he headed down to a group of some friendly acquaintances. "Where have you been lately?" Theresa questioned smugly, a confident look in her eyes as she brought a cup of orange juice to her mouth. Mason simply shrugged, returning a small grin. "Busy, you know how it gets." The statement was so vague, anyone could really take it as they wanted. Forcing down the bite from the apple, he relaxed in his chair.

Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy! Rose kept repeating inside her head. There was so much food! Her human half was utterly starved from Mason feeding on her and the fact that she hadn't had lunch or dinner the night before. Heading eagerly to the buffet style table set-up Rose grabbed a plate and started piling up food. She would most likely end up eating like a pig but Rose was one Princess with a healthy appetite, not those girls that ate twigs and salads. She got some pancakes with butter and honey along with orange juice and a Caesar salad and finally rounded it with some pumpkin pie. Rose then turned and looked around. There was Mason sitting with some girls. Rose's face instantly fell before a quizzical expression suffused her face. Where was she to sit? With Mason? No that might be awkward. She then turned and noted the other tables. She bit her lip. There was the table nearby Mason, hence Rose could fulfil her guard duty and it also seemed to be filled with an agreeable set of people from the chess club. Rose nodded, she would sit there then. Soon she had made her way over, greeted the other's and sat down. The seven other's greeted her politely in return before Rose dug into her breakfast.

"You're kidding." He chided not-so-quietly at a remark from the guy sitting a few seats away. The boy, Aaron, was sharing a story about a previous experience with an instructor. The others laughed at the story, a few of them only focused on their food. Mason held the apple delicately, trying to force himself to care about what the boy had to say. It was much harder than one would expect. Much, much harder. He had learned at a young age that if he smiled and nodded, along with a few stupid phrases here and there, people believed you cared. His gaze roamed the large room, searching for the one face he wanted to see. Not realizing she was behind him, he frowned slightly, wondering what could have happened. Soon though, he caught sight of her back. Excusing himself from the others, he raised to his feet, turning the apple around in his hand. "There you are," he commented quietly, falling into the chair beside her. He found the amount of food she was eating.. endearing. It was almost more attractive to see a girl eat what they wanted; he could admire that.

message 139: by [deleted user] (new)

Rose nearly choked on her food. He was right behind her! So much for her powers of observation. Then again Charlie and Miles were a great distraction. After watching Rose eat for a bit they started asking her questions between breaks when they noticed she paused since Rose did return some manners. It was mainly questions about chess as the 'chess geeks' are so inclined to ask another only about their favourite subject. Rose however didn't mind. It was further added distraction of one certain Strigoi. In fact Rose was a champion player. Her father had taught her early on how to play and ultimately destroy the game. Miles, intrigued had challenged her after learning about the amount of knowledge Rose possessed on the subject but since Rose was eating Charlie volunteered his services. Rose directed, he moved the pieces and so it was that when Mason came to sit beside her Rose took a bite of her pumpkin pie just after directing where one of the more minor pieces had to be moved to. Miles sat, utterly stumped as Charlie smiled wickedly. After swallowing Rose sipped her orange juice before smiling small at Mason. "Hey." She said casually in her male voice as Miles's frown only increased. "This is great! No one has ever had Miles on the run before!" Charlie said joyously as Miles shot him a death glare. Rose chuckled softly as she turned to Mason. "Enjoy breakfast?" She asked him with her dancing eyes.

"I should be asking you that." Mason commented slyly, a teasing glint in his eyes. Continuing to move the apple between his hands, he turned his attention over to the chess game. He couldn't really remember the guys names Rose was sitting with, but he smiled pleasantly their way. Seeing the chess game, his eyebrow cocked up on his forehead while he inspected the game. He had played a few times, but it had never been his thing. He didn't have the ability to think multiple moves ahead, much less find out the right one on his turn. It was clear that Rose was wowing them with her ability. Mason nudged her with his shoulder, scoffing softly as he admired the color in her eyes. "There's a lot more to you than I first thought," he grinned cheekily, positioning his head in his hand with his elbow bent against the table.

message 141: by [deleted user] (new)

"Oh everything is delicious. I was even thinking about asking who is the cook." Rose replied to Mason's question. Soon though Miles had made a move, finally. Rose inspected his decision and thought it a well defensive move even though he really should have gone on the attack. She then directed Charlie as to what her move was before finishing her pumpkin pie. As she sipped her orange juice she noted the new frown on Miles's face. Apparently he was a sore loser. She smiled small before noting how Mason was sitting. She swallowed loudly as she tried to keep a blush from forming on her cheeks. But was failing miserably. Then at his words she merely chuckled and shrugged. "I'm a geek what can I say?" She said only endearing herself more to the chess players around her. She noted Mason merely playing with his apple and frowned small, a crinkling of her eyes really. She would offer him some of her blood after breakfast. Which reminded her today was the day she needed to sign up to the various classes on offer in the academy. It was the start of the new year and all the new students were joining up as the high school class graduated. Hence everyone moved along by a year. Out with the old in with the new it went. And everyone in the middle just climbed a step up. New students had one week to explore the campus, get moved in, register and get assigned to various jobs along with the all important task of choosing eight classes for the semester. Then the following Monday of their arrival school officially started and it was then they were mandated to attend class. As a scholarship applicant Rose had had to move it along to get in. Other's having applied months before. But then again this little trek hadn't been planned so there was room on that little area for manoeuvring. But today she had no choice in heading off and choosing her classes since papers had to be filed and schedules worked out. In the meantime she turned her gaze away from Mason and started on her salad as Miles started getting a little red in the face.

message 142: by [deleted user] (new)

The game continued on before him, while he basically sat there, wondering how in the world they already knew they'd lose. At least, Miles seemed to know he had no chance. Wasn't there always a chance to redeem yourself in chess? Mason debated this to himself, wondering how many mistakes one had before they had no chance of coming out on top or no chance to win anything. With each move, Miles eyebrows furrowed farther, while his lips pursed together. It was confusing as to why he would continue to play, when he had no hope. And he didn't have any hope. That was clear enough to Mason. The eeriest part of it all was, the game reminded him of his own problems and issue. His life. Crinkling his nose while tilting his head sideways, he began to straighten up his back. Sneakily, to the point where no one could see because the tablecloth divided the view from others, Mason's hand crept across his knee and onto hers. He trailed the tips of his fingers over her lower thigh. In the end, he couldn't help it. He couldn't control himself and this was the only way to someone be near enough to her. Sitting beside her was simply not enough. Also, for some strange reason, he wanted to see her blush and react to such a move. "Slow down there will be nothing left on this room at this rate." Mason suggested quietly, a cheeky smirk still laying on his lips.

message 143: by [deleted user] (new)

Rose had counteracted Miles's every move. To Rose she knew the game of chess could be interpreted as life's little moves but so did a lot of other things. Hence, she didn't bother with classifying it as such. Chess to Rose was a game of the mind, a activity to improve one's strategic thought patterns and enjoy a good hearted match between friends or in this case class mates. Rose was so busy as such she didn't notice the slippery Strigoi's hand moving. She blushed brightly a moment later when she felt his hand on her inner thigh. She coughed some before clearing her throat and taking a sip of her orange juice. God the man was betting a lot. If someone saw them those gay jokes wouldn't be so much of a joke now would it. But she supposed the thrill was also part of it for Mason, not thinking in the slightest he urged for her touch as she did his. She smiled small a moment later as she lovingly took his hand into her's and with her thumb started stroking the back of his hand. She was glad for his little jab, it would cover the true reason for her fierce pink cheeks. "Oh as if you yourself can't eat a small horse." She joked a moment later as she turned to him before turning back to her salad and advising Charlie where to place the knight piece.

message 144: by [deleted user] (new)

It crossed Masons mind a few time a that he wasn't exactly helping the whole gay thing. It didn't seem to matter all that much anymore, besides, there was little chance that someone would even notice. He had been slowly massaging her inner thigh with his calluses hands, until to his surprise, she slipped her dainty hand against his. Meeting it, he realized just how hard this whole secrecy, hide in the day thing would be. Never had he ever been so tempted to throw away all the plans of the day to spend time with someone. Of course that wasn't an option. They could both be kicked out if all didn't to well. The chances were slim, but they were not looking at a bright future if they were forced to leave. Just as he hoped for, the color was easily spotted against her cheeks. He wished to reach up and trace such an expression. "I think the correct term is 'pony'." He pointed out, correcting her with a light expression. Beneath the table, he interlaced their fingers. Using his other hand to play with the apple, he gave up trying to follow the chess game.

message 145: by [deleted user] (new)

Rose chuckled. "Still fairly large I'de say." She said as she wondered if he minded her good hearted appetite? Rose then returned her attention to the chess game and her salad. Soon the it was check mate. Miles stood and performed a rousing curse opera before sitting down, rubbing his temples and oddly getting a notebook out while his entire face was bright red, even his ears. Charlie and the rest chuckled. "Oh boy there he goes. After every loss he gets out that dainty little notebook and writes down all the moves since his memory is super crazy like that and then analyses were he went wrong or in other words where you went right." Soon another student, a elfin looking female chipped in as well. "Yeah and he's only lost like..... four times before." She said and chuckled. It seemed the loss was handled well both were congratulated and Miles only sought to improve and have a 'chess crush' on 'Ethan'. Rose was enjoying herself a lot at that moment. She had finished her salad and started her pancakes, gotten to full and passed it along to the elven girl who was really a jaguar shifter and could use a little more grub. After just finishing her orange juice Rose then started giving Miles pointers at everyone else's shocked disbelief. As the other's mulled over the notes of Rose's golden advice and she stole yet another glance at Mason Rose's eyes caught something. Something that made her heart speed up but not from Mason's scorching touch but from her fear filled memory. Her hand unconsciously tightened around his as she glanced away and seemed to shrink back as the six jocks who were also tiger shifters entered the dining hall.

Perhaps Mason would never be competitive enough to understand Miles disdain. After it was all done, he couldn't help by appreciate the boys expansive vocabulary. A small grin spread over his lips, but he did his absolute best to hide it. What kind of a person would be be, if he laughed at the boys own embarrassment? Twisting the apple once more in his his, before setting it down against the table, his attention shifted to something else. Rose. He could smell her fear before the squeeze came. Her heart beat quicker and therefore, sent a wave of distraction. One look into her eyes gave a very clear explanation to what was going on. Mason simply looked over his shoulder, his eyes following on the boys. Each was overly sized and unnaturally stupid. Except one. Evan was none of those things. Though still large, he was just slightly smaller than the rest. Any action the group did, came from him. He ran them and without a doubt, was the entire brains for the other five. Despite their a actions towards Rose, Mason lacked fear. Squeezing her hand back in return, he felt something different boil within him. How dare they touch her? She would have died if Mason hadn't been contacted and sent to help. Oh, he wanted to see them bleed for that. He wanted to see them lay there without a hope of ever standing up again. But, he could not allow himself to lose control and attempt to fight. Even with his fighting abilities, Mason didn't stand a chance against six of them. Perhaps three or four, but six would be suicide. Instead, he shifted his head back towards Rose. Leaning in, he whispered into her ear so only she could hear -not the little dorky group of chess players. "Come on, let's get out of here."

message 147: by [deleted user] (new)

Rose had turned her eyes away from the group and instead tried to focus in one what the other's were saying. She failed. Soon though her heart skipped a beat as she felt a squeeze back. She blushed and smiled despite herself. She looked at Mason with a reassuring smile and then looked back at the people across from her. Then she frowned small as Mason stood before blushing more at his whisper. Rose herself stood and gathered her book. "Well guys I must be going. Duties." She said and smiled as she started walking away, staying behind Mason as she waved to her chess pals who all murmured their goodbyes or waved as well. Rose then turned all her focus towards following Mason as she walked the proper distance behind him. Unfortunately her heart couldn't help but race at the almost imperceptible growl emanating from Evan. Only a vampire's ears could hear it.

message 148: by [deleted user] (new)

Of course he had every intention of ignoring the guys and making a safe exit. Mason wanted to get out of there and not pick a fight with the brainless cats. Oh, but could he really pass up the satisfaction of hitting one of them? Even as he walked away, he debated whether he was willing to have a few broken bones in exchange for a punch or two at the guys. All he really needed was something to push him over the edge. That something came, soon enough. The growl being emitted from Evan was enough to tempt anyone -vampire or not. "What was that?" His voice purred softly, yet quite threateningly as his entire body turned to face the group. Mason should have been scared, he should have known it was useless to try and fight them. But he felt senseless now, wanting only to avenge Rose and what they did to her. As if Mason's response came exactly as Evan wished, a sick smile spread across the angular features of the other boy.

message 149: by [deleted user] (new)

Rose had just wanted to keep moving. Get away as soon as possible to safety. Or rather to a place where the tiger's were currently not occupying space. They had nearly reached the door when her heart finally stopped. Mason spoke and turned around. Rose too stopped and clutched her book closely to her chest. Her breathing picking up as she stepped aside and walked further to stop and stand behind Mason to allow Mason to interact with the six brutes in accordance with her bodyguard duties. She kept her eyes downcast and her hands firmly around her book to the point where her knuckled went white. Rose guessed she was starting to have a panic attack as Evan stepped up and said loudly for all to hear, "Oh I was just remarking how dandy your faggot whore is." He said cruelly and with a smirk as he glared at Rose who couldn't help but take a step back at his eyes boring a hole into her soul. She looked up suddenly and turned to Mason, saying softly, "Hey let's go..."

message 150: by [deleted user] (new)

Possibly the only thing keeping Mason from punching the guy right there, was a stronger pull inside of him. Damn, if the hunger became unbearable every single time her heart decided to speed up a little bit, Mason would have quite the hard time living normally. Even now, the blood kept prodding him like a child who desperately wanted his attention. Oh, but Evan's words also pulled Mason in a different direction. A direction that would end with a satisfying crunch and a broken smirk on the kids face. Mason took a step forward, ignoring Rose's plea. "I wouldn't do that, if I were you." Mason hissed, the tip of his fang surfacing over the edge of his lip in a rather painful way. His fists clenched by his sides and his vision blurred slightly.
