• AGGRESSIVE/HOT-HEADED/MEAN/SADISTIC
Ayato, in general, is not a nice person. He is very hot-headed. Though he doesn't see others as worth his while, if he has a reason he deems justifiable, he will get into a fist-fight with someone. And, fair warning to anyone who wishes to challenge him, he is a vampire and always plays dirty. There is never a definite end to the things he will do to win. That has to do with him being childish. In addition to enjoying beating someone up and being an overall mean person, he is extremely aggressive in general. With women and children alike, he is often considered "abusive" and while he would never outright punch a child, he would likely shove them around a bit. To this measure, especially with those he is interested in romantically or otherwise, he counters his true feelings by being quite sadistic. While he is a vampire and he needs to harm others in order to live, he has been conditioned by his past to enjoy the act of harming another person and hearing their pain. Again, as with the abuse, he is never really this way with children, as he resents people who are such to younger humans. That doesn't mean he wouldn't hurt a grown, or even teenage woman.
POSSESSIVE/OVER-PROTECTIVE
To counter but also add to his aggressive/sadistic actions toward everyone, Ayato seems to be worse in his actions when he is attached to someone. Though it has only really happened with a person once, he becomes very protective of the person he is romantically involved with or has taken interest in. This means that he expresses more anger toward anyone around him when he is with his special person. However this person also endures his more childish side and his demand of attention, not to mention his sadistic-ness. They are more likely to be hurt by him than anyone else around, but they will also be the most protected person in the world.
WHINY/STUBBORN/DEMANDING/IMPATIENT
Ayato, once he has opened up a bit, and otherwise, is extremely childish. He demands things, mostly attention and some sort of human food he enjoys, or even blood, and expects to get it the second he has spoken. In this way, he becomes very impatient when what he has demanded is not given to him instantly. If it has not been given to him in an acceptable time, or if a person simply understands how to deal with him, then there are really only two outcomes. He either gets really pissy and starts acting more aggressively/gets physically abusive, or he will pout (adorably) and keep bugging the person he has ordered until they simply give in and do what he wants out of sheer annoyance. While the latter is quite rare and really only shown around his special person (should he have one), if this situation does arise, it is due to both his stubbornness and how whiny he can be. He only gets whiny around those he trusts though, so take it as a compliment.
SECRETLY A CINNAMON-ROLL
Ayato is secretly precious. While he is, in simple terms, an asshole, and he is abusive physically and verbally, there are some moments when his inner thoughts are more pronounced. He is not some dull, childish being, though that is all people think when they are around him. His past has shaped him into the person he is today, and while he let his experiences bring him down instead of learning to flourish and learn from them, once he opens up, it is possible to see that he is struggling just as any other person does when they leave an abusive household. He is trying his best to cope in his own way, and though he doesn't understand how to properly have a relationship with someone, if a person took the time to teach him, he would likely first protest and then learn. He is not stupid, just confused by people, by what happened to him, by his species not being normal, and by ridicule. He is a precious little (s)innamon roll and he needs some damn guidance.

{History:}
• Ayato was born into a less-than-loving family. Even when he was very young he was separated from the rest of the world, an only child and the heir to a widely-known, rich vampire family. Despite wanting to play like a normal child, he was refused that honor. He was told to grow up fast because, despite the fact that a vampire lives forever, if they do not learn to become an adult, they can be stuck in the mental state of a child for the rest of their lives. To him, that sounded just find, but his mother was cruel and vicious. She was not meant to be a mother, he overheard more than a few times at social gatherings. It wasn't like he wasn't thinking the same thing, it was just surprising to hear it from other people.
At the age of twelve, he met his first ever rival, from a different branch of the family. Unlike his rival, Shuu Sasamaki, he was never praised for what he accomplished or told that he was a good son. No. While Shuu may have had a strict raising like him, it was unlikely that he was ever abused like Ayato. There was always something that displeased Ayato's mother, and whenever he did something that didn't please her, he was punished. His fear of suffocation directly stems from how she would choke him in a fit of rage, or stand/stomp on his chest, or even hold him underwater in the bath, or let him drown over and over again in the lake because she knew he couldn't swim. She screamed profanities at him, likely the cause of his wide vocabulary today. She begged him to die, but never did she get up the nerve to actually stake him in the heart.
At the age of fifteen, he finally had enough. With tears running down his cheeks, he stabbed her repeatedly in the chest, leaving dozens of knives in her torso. His father, long dead at the hands of his mother, would not be around to witness the terrifying events that followed. In the end, Ayato stood away from his mother's limp, dismembered body, and she stared up at him, he licked away her blood, which stained his lips. Then he lit her on fire, one of the only other ways to kill his kind. Never had he smiled so brightly and cried to graciously. After that, he ran away from the empty home with the very little possessions he was allowed. He just kept running, smiling widely and feeling a weight leave his chest. Unfortunately, despite how he started over, all those years he had becoming worse and worse a person, and after finally offing his mother, he ended up even worse.
Ayato ended up finding Death City when he was sixteen and has been living there for who knows how long. He doesn't even know how many real years he spent being abused by his mother. But now he is a "phantom" of Death City, terrorizing the students and unintentionally earning a reputation as the "Sexy-Vampire/Phantom-Dude" with the female students. While he doesn't care much for the attention and absolutely despises when girls interrupt his naps on park benches to get his picture, he doesn't mind being a topic of discussion. With his dog named Chichinashi, or "pancake", he leaves sort of peacefully in Death City. (SOMEONE GIVE HIM LOVE)

● History:
Kalluto never got to see his mother; she left as soon as he was born, because she didn't want to endure the burden of raising a child he was told, leaving him with his father. His father wasn't much different, he offered him financial needs, but otherwise payed no attention to him, so he was raised by the kind neighbor next door, whom also happened to be a teacher at the DWMA. He stopped going to her place at age 7, since his father believed he was old enough to learn to care for himself now. Kalluto wasn't however, and depended entirely on the allowance his father would hand him, buying nothing but boxed meals and water bottles. His father mocked him to join school once when he was 10, and Kalluto reluctantly agreed, thinking it better than constantly being at home with his father anyways. However, he was reserved and indifferent in school, and as a result didn't get along with anyone. He also found out he was quite weak, when faced with bullies. He dropped out after only a week, and instead dedicated himself to getting stronger, for the simple cause of being able to defend himself. He started working with swords at first, then gradually tried out knives when he had perfected that. His saber is the current weapon he uses most, second being throwing knives. He left home at age 14, when he could no longer respond to his father's hateful taunts, and went on to create quite the name for himself, in the form of a fearful, dangerous foe when engaged, but for the most part no one ever saw him around. The times he is seen, is on the first day of each month, where he returns to his hometown to check on the woman who raised him when he was younger, to ensure she is well.
● Personality:
Kalluto is best described as being egotistical, intelligent, level headed and mundane. He seems to have little to no interest in most things, with the exceptions of a few valued things that he wouldn't mention, so as not to endanger them. He's always able to maintain a calm demeanor and cool headed thinking, despite the situation at times, there is little that worries him. He also can be seen as self centered, although thoughtless would be a more fitting term, since he does not care about himself just as much as he doesn't show care for others. It is a common misinterpretation he displays, but really he does care for some people, and in that case more than himself, as he disregards himself more often than not.
He does not believe in standards and rules, even self made ones, preferring to do what ever he wishes, but oddly enough won't hesitate to mention it or possibly even lecture another person for breaking them. Additionally, Kalluto is intelligent, especially in mathematics and technologies. He's fond of programming, often making his own to pass time with.
When with others (except fighting), he's reserved, quiet, and appears more so bored and uninterested than anything else. There are a few times when he'll join in a conversation, mainly when it perks his interests, but otherwise he tries to avoid people as much as possible. When he does speak he is honest but sassy. On the contrary, when fighting, he's fairly engaged and usually remarks. At the same time, he's pretty sadistic and can completely ignore reasoning, smiling and commenting on his opponents. He does boast about his power during this time, at times to scare them off from him, other times out of spite.
All in all, he's truly not a bad person, nor as cruel as he seems, because truly he does care about people, and has on some occasions gone out of his way to help someone. He only does not know how to display it or properly interact with others, hence his reason for pushing them away and acting awkward, as well as staying alone usually. He is actually kindhearted deep down, and would gladly like some company, just hasn't met anyone to show that side to.
