My favourite books from this year's list are both very long and am reluctant to ask people to commit to 700 or 800 pages.
I did not like "Americanah" as much as Adiche's others, but am happy to go along with it as the next discussion.

It is not showing on the 'listed-in-2014' shelf, Penny. I tried to amend shelves, but don't have the authority to do it.

I nominate Chimimanda Adichie's Americana. ~ I read the 1st chapter on Amazon .com and was hooked!
