I'll start the ball rolling

I nominate Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie from the 2014 list.
Adichie won the award in 2007 for Half a Yellow Sun - wonder if she will win this year!

Val My favourite books from this year's list are both very long and am reluctant to ask people to commit to 700 or 800 pages.
I did not like "Americanah" as much as Adiche's others, but am happy to go along with it as the next discussion.

It is not showing on the 'listed-in-2014' shelf, Penny. I tried to amend shelves, but don't have the authority to do it.

I nominate Chimimanda Adichie's Americana. ~ I read the 1st chapter on Amazon .com and was hooked!
