new book author did not request added

I have had 2 authors ask me why books they or their publishers did not ask to have added have appeared on GR. I've looked around for any policies related to that, and I'm unable to find. Please let me know what sort of response I can offer to these authors.

Any one can add books to GR . People often add placeholders so that they can be reminded about books.

There is no requirement that authors / publishers need to agree to the addition of books to this site.

In cases where books are added but never going to be written, it may be that they can be removed
