TWENTY-FIVE - 140 points:
Read a book that is book #1 (2, 3.... through 12) in a series.
TA covers all except:
Book #6 in a series
Book #11 in a series
Book #12 in a series - Kazen
Bethany wrote: "Sorry about that kazen- forgot to set the finish date."No worries! I've done it a few times myself ;)
A final completion post before bed:
The Island of Doctor Moreau by H.G. Wells
160 pages
9/28
Bank, possibly if we get another title spot.
Completion Post!
For 18D, definitely cowboys
Adorable book, easily could be a cheesy chick flick. Slight repetitiveness when they we're thinking, but so cute.

Hey Rose - How was this book? Have you read Memoirs of a Geisha? I loved that book and have this one on my "to read" list.
Does anyone else want to read Everything Everything? If not I can find something I could potentially chain off of. So like, I could do Everything Changes and then Changes ___.

You're on a roll, holy cow! ~high five~

Nice work! The books that could be movies can be so much fun :)

This was an awesome find - way to go!
Bethany wrote: "Does anyone else want to read Everything Everything? If not I can find something I could potentially chain off of. So like, I could do Everything Changes and then Changes ___."I can read an Everything (something) book for you to chain off of, if you like :) I searched at my e-library and found these two options (that weren't thrillers and are under 300 pages :P)
Everything to Me (chain off of Me)
Everything In Between (chain off of Between)
Let me know if one of those works!

Oooh! Isn't Me Before You still banked? If so, Everything to Me would be PERFECT and we would be done after that!
Bethany wrote: "Kazen wrote: "Bethany wrote: "Does anyone else want to read Everything Everything? If not I can find something I could potentially chain off of. So like, I could do Everything Changes and then Chan..."Or rather, I guess it's not banked yet, but Tammie was reading it.
I am currently out of assigned books, and found a method of updating my ebook library. If someone can find a constellation suggestion I'll see if I can find it!
There islist of books with stars and/or moons on the cover. Not sure if any if them work.http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/21...
Ok, I have found one book, blatantly stolen from another group's constellation task, which I have access to:
And one spontaneously found book:
Although the book:
Which I already read, and maybe
Which I don't have access to, also probably work.
These suggestions are open to anyone for the time being; not going to claim anything until I can actually start reading, which won't be for at least 6 hours.
All four of those books work, for the record.eta: I'm off to bed for the night - Rose, the day shift is yours! ;)
One thing we could do is if anyone has started a trilogy that they can continue, and someone else can start it, that will be fewer books per person.I have started:
-The Magicians Trilogy by Lev Grossman (read 1, can read 2&3)
-The Parasitology Trilogy by Mira Grant (read 1&2, can read 3)
-The Mara Dyer Trilogy by Michelle Hodkin (read 1, can read 2, might be able to get my hands on 3)
-The Beka Cooper trilogy by Tamora Pierce (read 1 and 2, can read 3)
My biggest problem with trying to do a trilogy is finding one where all 3 books are available online. But if I have to, I can probably find a bookstore once I'm off work.
Was looking through the banked books:For 24 red cover, we could use A Court of Thorns and Roses or The Little Stranger.
For 24 Farm, I think maybe we could use The Kitchen House; a plantation is kind of like a really big farm?
Looks like for 24 Amazons, Siege will probably work, though I seem to remember someone reading a book satisfying this.
And then for the series, if we haven't figured out the trilogy stuff I will probably just read The Amber Spyglass and use the first two from TA; gonna be rebellious and not read the second book.
I'd be up for the Bek Cooper books. I think I've read the first one, but would read it again. I love Tamora pierce
Lory wrote: "I'd be up for the Bek Cooper books. I think I've read the first one, but would read it again. I love Tamora pierce"Ok, I can read either 2 and 3 or just 3 while you read 1 and 2? It's been forever since I read any of them so I'm well past the reread time minimum. Or I could do 1 and 3 if you want to pick up where you left off.
Unless another volunteer wants to read Book 1 of the Beka Cooper series.
I'll start with 1 and see if I can get it done quickly. No idea what happened. I'll try to do 1 and 2.
Lory wrote: "I'll start with 1 and see if I can get it done quickly. No idea what happened. I'll try to do 1 and 2."In that case, I will start with 3 and then start 2 after that. Or read 3 and then read The Amber Spyglass in case you don't finish 2. They are chunky books to finish 2 in two days!
Oh, nice red book. I was thinking about His to Take from TA shelf for red. It *looks* more red but the website has them at about the same. Options. :)I figured any Kate Daniels book for 24a since she's holding a sword on all the covers. Anne of Green Gables takes place on a farm (or so I'm told), so that will also work for 24c. Lots of choices!
Also, I'm still holding out hope that the Travel will finish Amber Spyglass (it's on the 'currently reading' shelf) and plug in a date. We've got about 62 hours left... it could happen... :]

Everything Everything is pretty quick, I'm more than halfway done. Hope to finish today but my recumbent bike is arriving and so I might end up putting that together instead. My legs have been angry at me since my last bike broke.
For 16A, Margaret's The Pact from reserve shelf could be swapped in, instead of the TA book. I think we can see enough of that guy to say he's handsome, no?
Sorry. I was lazy and didn't write the title. That actually was Memoirs of a Geisha. I liked it (way more than the movie), although I thought it could have been shorter. I really would love to read something similar from a Japanese author, and see how they compare. Caly wrote: "Rose wrote: "Finished

"I think we should go with a book that has the face more prominent for that one. He's pretty obscured by the title and position.
Just my luck: I spend an hour looking for constellations online, pick one I'm not siper excited about, then go to a bookstore to kill time and find two after one minute of strolling around.
