Let's stick with two books a person just to make sure we don't get too far ahead of ourselves. It's wonderful to know we have an option on deck, though! :)

Ella | 367 comments the series im currently reading- smythe-smith are all about the tone-deaf musicians' family but they don't have any musical instruments on the cover except for one book- which has a violin in the uk edition (so not available to me)

message 4116: by prag ♻ (new)

prag ♻ (janayanation) OK, I do have If I Stay (If I Stay, #1) by Gayle Forman , which has a cello on the cover but I'm not really in the mood to read it. I've seen the movie so know what happens. Either way, I'll take the spot if no one else has a book with a musical instrument on the cover.

Caly ☯ Crazy Book Lady | 596 comments I don't have anything with a musical instrument, but if anyone has a Kindle or Kindle Unlimited I saw 2 with guitars on the front if you search "music novels" but they are both romance and I just can not do that genre, sorry.

Caly ☯ Crazy Book Lady | 596 comments However for my next slot I would like to claim Labor 7C - read a book set in outer space, I have the book Half Way Home

Thanks!

Ray (user2637) (hugpete) | 1521 comments I thought The Shell Collector was a bit contrived in the romance area and needed more sci-fi (it was the future after all), but it was okay. Howey himself said it was really his first foray into romance, so perhaps he'll get better. Wool is AMAZING though. The world-building.. so epic. :D

Yes I agree with you about the romance part and I thought the ending was rushed, but over all he is a good writer. Will let you know about Half Way Home. Thanks for the kudos about Wool, definitely looking forward to it!

Bety (betyplusbooks) | 211 comments Trying to decide what else to read next, as I usually have a compulsive need to have two books going at the same time...

I could do
The Girl with All the Gifts by M.R. Carey
For 8B, as the cover is 77% yellow.
OR
Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill
For 10B, as the MC is a vampire
OR
Lady Knight (Protector of the Small, #4) by Tamora Pierce
For 2B, book from a quartet
OR
The Reader (Sea of Ink and Gold, #1) by Traci Chee
Probably for 1B, I *think* the main setting is on the water
OR
The Masked City (The Invisible Library, #2) by Genevieve Cogman
For 11A, book is set in England
OR
The Desert Spear (Demon Cycle, #2) by Peter V. Brett
For 11D, MC is a musician (I believe)

What's hardest? Please send help; I am paralyzed by indecision!
