On further consideration I'd say Round House is most appropriate for the Skull and crossbones. Death omens and fokelore are a theme, also the the idea of being poisoned by evil and the pursuit of revenge. I can't really say more without spoilers though.

Uh... At this point I think it only works for 2nd in a series.
And at this point, I think Summer Knight only works for umbrella, unless you thought that was too much of a stretch.
I think I'll pick up either The Warded Man (for man) or Ready Player One (for tetris/games/things of that sort), as I don't think there's been major interest in those? Feel free to correct me though.
I should finish my book tomorrow night. I only have like 90 pages left! So close, but too many top read at midnight when I have to work the next day :-( I hate when that happens!!!

Current pattern: Coverall (Bonus - 100 points!)
Bold goals are unclaimed goals.
Non-pattern squares are... there are no non-pattern squares! :D
Book title contains Man
Book main page genre is crime - Bethany (but someone else can jump in if they like)
Book main page genre is historical fiction - Tammie
Picture - death/grim reaper - Karin
Book title contains Could - Caly
Picture - Tetris - Ella

Second in a series is a perfect place for it.
Thanks for the reminder about Summer Knight - that should work just fine for umbrella. Yea!
Warded Man is a harder square to fill but Player One is great, too - whichever is fine :)
BONUS!

Hocus Pocus Multipliex The Pointex. Woohoo! Hocus.... drat only works once, oh well, 42 points ain't bad.

Dang Kazen, you are the Best! 8-) You got us all sorted out and then some. Cool that we got to use my book again. We are rocking this board for sure! Glad the shark is out of the way and I will keep my fingers crossed now about the remaining bonuses since my book has over 400 pages. Need to get reading LOL but I am off work today so I should be able to make good head way.
Thanks for being such a good Panda Keeper.

Bah. Don't know why the words show up at the bottom and I can't make it smaller but at least I got it to post.
I am not claiming anything at this point...but I am sure I can finish a book with 'man' or 'historical' if needed. Kazen...could you remind when this challenge finishes...is it end of day tomorrow...or do we have another week?
I apologize for not doing my usual reading pace...I've had 2 ladies visiting our home from Germany for the last 5 days...5 more to go and we've been seeing some of the sites and drinking a lot of wine :) I do love having guests come for a visit!...will be nice for some normal again soon though.
Just finished
by Jennifer L. ArmentroutNot sure where this will fit. Someone dies in it, it's a stand alone, there's a romance and a twist at the end.
Started it before we got the new board, so sorry it's not too helpful.
The boxes where it says "Book main page genre", main page as in the 3/4 shelves you see when you view a book, or first page of top shelves? If it's the latter, this can work for crime. (https://www.goodreads.com/work/shelve...)

Tori, an idea for you. Tetris is a puzzle game where you fit pieces together. The synopsis of this book says, "All Sam wants is the truth, and if she can unlock her clouded memories of that fateful night, she can finally move on." So, maybe Sam is putting together puzzle pieces...? Does that seem like it would work for the book? I know the synopses aren't always correct.Tori wrote: "Just finished

Kazen - it was a great read!! So different to what I thought it was going to be. I loved the writing style, story line, characters... Book 2 is now on my TBR :)
Rose wrote: "It fit for book award, but I think Margaret got to that before I finished. lol. It could go for the reaper or skull one. I'll have to think on the others"OH NO!! I am so sorry Rose - I completely missed your post...

Okay, let me see if my count is right. 5 spots open. Symbiont for "#2 in series". Maybe Tori's for Tetris, then maybe Bethany for "man", then maybe Tammie for "historical" (which I don't like anyway :). That leaves "crime". I can probably find a crime book. Was really good. Definitely picked up in the last half or so. Looking at Ray's post we don't really have any squares available. Does that seem right? I've got a couple of books picked out for future, but would love to read for a square!
Finished!Ain't She Sweet?, Susan Elizabeth Philips is one of my favorite authors.

Plumed Basilisk square
Lory to your question...I will claim The Nightingale for historical fiction square.
It's a must read for me for my 'in person' Bookclub...but I'm sure it could probably be used for something else too. We're almost done...if you are fast...go for it, I'll finish in a couple of days...it may fit for next bingo card too.
Kazan has always said to just keep reading what you want. You can claim any square that's left too...

Susan e philips is the best. I love 'kiss an angel' the best. Hav u read it?
If you have a book published in 2000, the spot is all yours- Shadowland is slow and boring, I was only doing it for the square.Lory wrote: "Looking at Ray's post we don't really have any squares available. We have another week, yea! Hopefully where we're standing will be a bit more clear once I get through the rest of the posts.
Enjoy having friends over - books can wait! Friends get mad when you make them wait. ;)

No worries - every book we finish and bank now is one less book we have to do for the next card! Every book is valuable. Great job, read on! :)

Phew, I'm so glad to hear it! This is a book that I always want to recommend because I love it so much but I'm afraid it'll backfire because of the subject matter. So happy that you enjoyed it!!
PS - There are eight books as well as a slew of novellas and short stories in this Original Sinner series but Reisz has been branching out lately with The Bourbon Thief and a trio of Harlequin Blaze books coming out this fall, bwahahaha. :)
Margaret wrote: "I am currently reading The Longing which is the 2nd book in a series."Yea - that will teach our shark! ;)

Excellent - here's hoping it's a x3 power square!
Check out the GOAL post near the top of each page for the latest reckoning - we still have some squares open. :) Some people have mentioned doing this or that, but that list is "official".

Tammie I'll put you down for historical fiction, with the understanding that things may be shuffled as we get closer to the finish. :) Read on!
