prag ♻ (janayanation) Okay, so I started rereading I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You (Gallagher Girls, #1) by Ally Carter in the morning because I was in the mood for something cute, and I just realised it has brown text on the cover. At least, I think the K from kill would count as brown. Kazen?

Ah. It's a confusing method. I still vote respin because we're at less than a week now & have TA books to cover many things. Maybe we'll get 'tapirs' eventually.

ETA: make that less than 5.5 days. There're countdowns in the countdown thread.

Bety (betyplusbooks) | 211 comments So, it's time to queue up my next book, and I'm just wondering if it's worth it to either:
a) begin a book with brown text on the cover if I won't finish it until probably Tuesday at least
b) begin a 600 page book/whether there are enough people reading those that we have a chance at the bonus.

... or if I should just continue my October Daye binge.

Oh man, this is a great bonus to go for so close to end-of-challenge. I'm sure I can find something that satisfies this and finish it with WAY less time crunch than the 600 page challenge...

Lory | 629 comments Hi all!
I am back in the US and ready to read! I travel for work this week, which means lots of time to read.

I finished a book, but I can't seem to find it on Goodreads. Bummer!

Anyone, I haven't caught up on all the posts yet, so I'm not sure what we are going for.

I have a couple of books on hold.
The Infinite Sea which had 399 pages, gives us an I.

Also, By a Thread by Jennifer Estep. Which is 275 pages.

Lastly, I have Lamentation.

Or I could find a short book.

Not sure what the best strategy is, so I will try to catch up tomorrow with all the posts!

I'm going to keep entering books and see if we have any brown text, but if not this K is a nice backup :) It is a little iffy, though, so if we have a solid case I'll take that instead. Hope that makes sense - great work!

message 2871: by Bety (new)

Bety (betyplusbooks) | 211 comments You ever finish a book and just can't... start... another... book...?

Finished countdown because it was an easy, short read and now I don't know if I want to keep reading my current series or read a standalone book or do a re-read of something or what. I'm so paralyzed by indecision, and probably spent enough time today playing Fallout 4 because I couldn't decide on a book to read that I could have read a book in that time!

So frustrating...

Yes! Book hangover is so real. I just finished a fiction book that takes place in an asylum that is making me think... so I'm reading a couple of non-fiction books for a change of pace. One is about involuntary psych admission, though, so I don't know how much of a change that really is. ;)
