You're good to go - enjoy! :D
Bethany wrote: "Fortunately, the mods have read LOTS of books I was planning on reading soon anyway!"Ready Player One is a great nerdy book, especially if you have 80s/90s knowledge! Also, a movie is being made soonish, so if you're like me & gotta read the book first.... :)
I'm not a Serial Killer is good too, for those who like paranormal horror.

Omg she's sooooooo cute!!!! Annie! Adorbs. She looks a little timid but I'm sure showers of love will cure that. Thanks for posting! Give her some pets from me!

Thank you for telling me, and sorry about that! I'll fix that up when I get home. I'm at my hospital in the woods today!

This is where I'm waiting for the bus in front of the hospital :)
Hello there team! I can finally say I'm back! We've finished getting all our stuff and unpacking everything that needs to be unpacked. :( It was such a long couple of weeks and it's been hard not to keep up with this thread. So, I'm back to reading!! I guess I need to read everything I've missed?
For now, I'm reading Cracked by Eliza Crewe
Have a good reading week y'all!

Nope, Karsyn stepped down recently. And if it meant the Mod Account it would have said Mod Account. :)

Nah, no need. You may want to skim the pages looking for the "update" graphic, though, just to get a feel for where we are. And you can always see the current word and color tasks on the Wheelathon page of the spreadsheet. Read on! :D

It's fixed now...not sure.
I'm in the middle of a book with a silver title but don't let that stop from spinning - not sure when I will finish
Ah, the crazy of being an adult when your refrigerator dies. :( We went to look at some yesterday - we want something small-ish with nice features. Sadly, it does not exist. You can have a perfectly sized fridge that's ugly and boring or a whale of a fridge with all the bells and whistles. Le sigh. And the salespeople! The first one sized us up all wrong and kept pushing features we don't care about. ("We don't really use the freezer." "But look, you can stand everything up like this, it's so convenient!" "We. Don't. Use. It.") The one good thing is that my husband got a taste of what it's like to be a child-free married woman - "You're going to have kids, right? You don't mean that, of course you are. You'll want this bigger model, then." NO. GRAH.
I'm so glad I have the happy, supportive Red Pandas to come to - no sales crazy here! Just books. ...and some "you really gotta read this now" maybe, but that doesn't count. ;)
I love you guys! Group hug!
Kazen wrote: "The one good thing is that my husband got a taste of what it's like to be a child-free married woman"Haha, I'm 25, which in my conservative town makes it weird that me and my long-term SO have not gotten married and started trying to make babies. When asked why by someone who HAS kids, I like to lean in really close and whisper:
"I get at least eight hours of sleep every night."
Usually they laugh or roll their eyes, but I can see the jealousy there! I can see it!
Nevermind, I think I found it. You just click on the Mods and then go to their "read" shelf, is that correct?
yea lory. u can do that. or if u have a lot of to-be-read books like me then u can simply click on compare books and then pick any book that they've read and u have tagged as to-read.

Bethany wrote: ""I get at least eight hours of sleep every night."..."LOL - that's so funny Bethany - love it.
My husband and I were married for 13 years before we had our first child (I got married when I was 20 years old) and my decision not to have children was viewed as selfish - comments like "that's a bit selfish not having children, why did you get married then?"
When we finally decided the time was right, I then got comments like "Aren't you a bit too old to be having kids??" - UGH!!
Sorry to hear about your fridge Kazen :( Glad us Red Panda's can help you out with a group hug :)
Margaret wrote: "When we finally decided the time was right, I then got comments like "Aren't you a bit too old to be having kids??" - UGH!!"If ever, I plan on waiting until I'm like 30 to have kids. I'm still not SURE I want them, and they are one of the few things I would rather want and not have than have and not want.
Weeeee, derailing the conversation...
Next book for me is
read by mod Amanda.Putting this here so I can remember which mod read this book when it comes time for my finished post :)
There doesn't appear to be any books that the Mods have read which has Silver in the title. Are we planning on respinning this week?
I am hoping to finish up The Silver Door rather quickly. Then I can move on to another silver book if needed or a different one.
I am off to amsterdam next week, so other than plane rides I probably won't get a ton of reading completed. Trying to add as much until then as possible though!

Sorry you had to deal with that. And "why did u get married" is an idiotic question!!! As if the two things are irretrievably linked! So post menopausal women can't get married? Sterile men? Grar!! I feel like a lot of people just parrot things their parents/others have said without thinking about them. & the longer one does that, the more out of touch they seem. Sigh.

Extremely well put!! I know a handful of people who were talked into having kids (men and women) who later had a cheating spouse, got divorced, etc and now regret it. It's sad. One of them has 4 kids that her husband SO wanted, now he's gone, divorced & moved 200 miles away & she's got too much to handle. :( and if course, she's the pariah being a single mom to a large brood.
Sorry, one of my angry points. And another strong argument for ladies to stick together & support each other rather than be adversarial like we are so oft depicted in media. You are all doing great at life! Keep it up! You rock!
*group hug*
Ok books. I'm still slogging through Chocolat. Has anyone read it? I like the story (well Vianne's side, not Reynaud's side- totally want to punch him), but the many French words make it slow going since, despite my name being French (Ray is short for Desirée), I know almost no French! Sigh. Upside: I think every color is in the text so that'll help down the line. Plus there's gold things on the cover , if ever we should need that.
Sorry I've been not reading much, so sick. But glad I had some banked books to help with. :)
Caly wrote: "Group hug back! And Annie sends puppy kisses for everyone. 8-)"Squeeee! Puppy kisses with puppy breath are the BEST!! :D
