Red Pandas

It looks like boss 8 is the easiest... not sure we'll be able to kill very many of these but it will be fun trying!
eta: It's late so someone check my math.
I think we can kill boss 8 right now - we need five strikes to kill and will survive with 2 health. Killing it will give us 20 xp, which will level and heal us right away...?
It looks like there are others we can attack if we use our poisons but I'm starting simple because brain. I no haz it right now :P
eta: Also, 20 attack points may be perfect for these monsters, as they all have round numbers of health. Might be worth it to put the series books into tasks and hope to gain levels because levels = heal and greater max health?

for the card that needed a book with "Star" in the title.
I have no idea what cards we are currently working on or what I should read next to help. I will wait till the morning to choose my next book unless someone can tell me what we need. Thanks!

Or just read whatever you want!! We're getting a lot of spell-it-outs and basically every book has something for that. :)

Thanks Ray! I will check back this evening or in the morning. I would be reading any more tonight anyway, I have to be at work super early tomorrow.

#8, the Crawler, is easiest and perfect for us right now! Your math is right, we'll end with 2 hp and level up, woot! :D Then we're back to full health, up to 50 hp. I will check out the other Bosses and see what might be good to kill after that.
As for leveling the weapon or not, we had decided not to because 20 seemed like a nice number and 11 books was a lot, but then we had no bosses so it was a good way to get 30 xp (almost 3xp per book!) but now we have bosses so... maybe not again for the weapon-leveling? Buh... lots to look at. and I want to KILL ALL THE THINGS, hahaha. Though, yeah, it might not be possible.
I do think we're going to be using a lot of potions soon, so it's good we have a pile of them and a pile of gold. I guess the balance for choosing which bosses to kill could be: Do we get more points (in xp, gold, potions) than we use in the fight (in gold, potions)? Sound like a good metric? I can crunch the numbers.

If we *aren't* leveling up the weapon, then we can put School Spirits (Pragya, author) or Kissing Under the Mistletoe (Tammie, character Howie) into the H spot and finish up that Card!

Aha, you found the thing I forgot, thank you! I knew there would be something lol.
Update post incoming :)
eta: I'll move that book when I get home - darn work! :P
eta2: Discarded Card 1 Greater Sewer Rat - we have bigger fish to fry :)

Only a few more days to go and we're doing great! And even better - there are bosses to fight, woo-hoo! This changes our priorities a little bit.
First of all, whatever you're reading right now is awesome and will work for something. We have lots of spell outs and other tasks so we'll be able to pop them in somewhere!
Second of all, considering that the monsters all have round numbers of health and we have a nice round 20 attack, let's concentrate on quests and bosses over leveling our weapon again. This way we can work towards more base health points and potions/gold so we can live through the fights.
Third, a goal post will be set up, just not immediately. The sheet needs to turn over and I need to go to work, hehe.
Fourth, said work has been crazy for two and a half of our three captains, so please understand if we're not able to update the spreadsheet or thread immediately. Thanks :)
So, plan, we haz it!
Our Plan
1. Read a lot of books
2. Kill a lot of bosses
3. Rinse and repeat :)
Let's start by killing Boss 8, woo!
eta: Boss 8 is dead and we gained a level, awesome!

I think we should take on the Jabberwocky (#1) next. We can kill it on our 5th hit. It'll do 4 hits, so 80 damage which means we'll need to heal 30 pts during the fight (3 heal potions, 1 greater + 1 heal + 1 minor heal potion, whatever). OR we could use a shield and a greater damage and knock it out in 4 rounds with no heal potions. Both ways leave us at zero hp, which is allowed. We will have to heal or level up before attacking again.
We're at 202 xp, 73 xp to next level. Jabber's 50 and the 2 cards we have (finished!?) are 13 for 63/73. 10 more after that to level!
eta: STELLAR card draw!! We can one-shot all of those!! :D

Everyone is busy as I know (and I am too) so I am going to choose to read

Off to work. Have a great day all.

Lots of characters, so I can get those if needed. I'm still confused as to what is needed.
Although there are 3 different cats in the book. One of the "sort of" main characters is a cat.
