No worries about the wobble shelf - I've forgotten it many times myself, I just don't tell you guys about it, hehehehe.

works for: #6 in series, pub'd in August, S (character Stan), T (character Frankie Townsend), A (character Mrs. Adolf), R (character Robert Upchurch), N (character Nick McKelty), takes place in country and continent where I live, "riding clothes" - under 200 pgs, "sugar" - MG feel-good friendship book, "apples" - features teacher, "hay" - starts with H. I know some of these are already claimed but I listed them in case we need to shift around books for some reason."

I'm reading Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, which works for both of these.

Sorry I'm behind on my series books! They are physical books and most of the reading I've been able to do lately has been audiobooks or online-accessible ebooks. :( :P As usual feel free to usurp my spot if I'm lagging behind!

It works for red cover (I think)
The book I read had 189 pages, but it's listed as 208 so I'm not sure what to do about that.
It also works for TA - character Taron, Character Alison.
How do I determine which month is the one used?
Also, I've finished #9 in the series. Its not crossed off up above, so just wanted to double check.

pgs. 210
#8 in Whyborne and Griffin series"
This is excellent! I've started a Level 11 section on the spreadsheet ^^b

Sadly this is a little short of red for that task, but we can use it for March!
To find the original publication month - go to the book page. It will say "Published in xx, yy" and after that, "first published in zz, aa". That first published date is the one we go by. If there isn't a first published date the edition you're reading was the first.
Crossing out #9 now - thank you! I had it on the spreadsheet but never updated it here ^^;;

It's been shelved as romance 875 times.
- Also works for first published in February
- For card 5: has coffee, ("Would you like a cup of coffee, Ari?" pg. 302)
orange, (I poured myself a glass of orange juice. pg. 7)

This could fit for a sweet book and we can shift mine to first published in February (I figured out how to check first published :P)

I clearly wasn't awake when I first saw this - the last task is for an essential oil in the title. Eeep. Do we want to throw this card back?

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

This book wasn't badly written. The characters were believable, and the romance was believable and cute. I read it because I really liked Fangirl. But OH MY GOD am I too old for high school love stories. I kept rolling my eyes at how stupid they were being. Get off my lawn!
Anyway...

Agreed.
I'll try and finish up my #10 book over the weekend, then I'll see what's going on with the current cards and see if I can target a specific tasks. Won't worry about spell-it out unless it's a really weird letter, since those can be covered by almost anything, and usually we can find a TA task at least.

I agree as well. After I finish my current book, my guess would be I could fit in only 1 (or maybe 2 short books) so I suggest we decide what to concentrate on and work on that.

.."
My thought is yes and see if we get something simpler.

Card 5
Essential oil in text = Lory bank, Hard Eight, orange. “No milk or orange juice.”
Essential oil in text = TA bank, Gulp: Adventures on the Ailmentary Canal, cranberry. “She wrote, “Cranberry, fruity, sweet, aloe juice.”
Essential oil in text = TA bank, Gone Girl, orange. “As I sipped my orange juice….”
Essential oil in title = TA bank, lavender. The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender
I pulled Lory's banked book from #8 for level 10 of weapon. TA has Shadowed (Brides of the Kindred, #8) that can replace it there. I chose these books because I had the epubs of them so was able to search them. :)
ETA: Also Rose's banked book, The Lord of White Hell has "..a small sachtel stuffed with dried mint leaves..."

You are AMAZING Ray! Well done! 8-)

Card 1
Read a book first published in May = TA The Aftermath
Read a book first published in September = TA Memoirs of a Geisha
Read a book first published in November = TA Unwind
Read a book first published in December = TA Fated
Card 4
Mainly gold cover OR era where gold is main currency = TA The Mask of Ra (looks gold to me, but also I suspect they use gold as currency in Pharoah’s time) or TA A Knight of Seven Kingdoms (they use gold in the tv show…)
Under 200 pages = TA THIRDS Beyond the Books: Volume 2
Under 200 pages = TA Zoo 2
Someone dangles a reward to get someone else to do something = TA Ready Player One. The prize is what has all the gamers (essentially the whole world) playing the game.
I didn't do Card 3 because there is no "star" book on TA shelf and spell-it-outs are easy.

Yea for book hauls!
Out of those three I'd say that the October book/goal is a great one to aim for, but if another book steals your heart faster that's fine too. ;)It turns out the original pub date in gray is a year with no month, eep! That means we can't use this book for the month task. :(
