Hey Mods,

This is where we will provide our book ideas for the BOM....

message 2: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 18, 2016 06:58AM) (new)

As the BOM is nearly ending in July I think as we gave 2 months to complete. How about we start making some suggestions for the next books to read.

Once again we will do 2 reading books 1 that we don't have to check content and the 2nd will be appropriate for younger readers.

Please start giving out some ideas and advise which reading list they are going under

I think a selection of 5 books for each is good and then a poll will be set up...

Younger Readers Approved
1. Rebel Belle
2. All the Light We Cannot See
3. The Unwanteds
4. Warrior Princess
5. UnEnchanted

Young Adult Readers
1. Prodigy
2.Relentless
3. The Mechanic
4. Dreaming Anastasia
5. Dangerous Lies

I was thinking we could maybe continue the Legend series for the younger readers? So Prodigy - thoughts?

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah hush hush def older readers it's got a fair amount sexual tension in it from what I remember....

Oh okay I thought the legend series was a younger read....I myself haven't read prodigy so I don't no....Anna was the one who did the research for me on the content lol

Does any of the mods have any books that they would want to go on the list for Book Buddies....

It seems none of the members have any suggestions atm...but i would like to get the poll out for the book starting in July

message 13: by purplebookworm (new)

purplebookworm (puplebookworm) Idk what other people read. I'm all over the place.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

So far i have 3 younger readers books and only 1 YA

message 16: by purplebookworm (new)

This one sounds okay....but i can't find anything on it in regards to the content of the book

The Mechanic??

message 20: by purplebookworm (new)

purplebookworm (puplebookworm) I just started Geek Girl

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Half Bad - def for older content thoughts?

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Starflight - once again couldnt find anything about content

this content thing is proving to be quite hard

message 23: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 12, 2016 09:49PM) (new)

Struck

all i could find on it

The novel features a handful of violent scenes, including a fight with a drug dealer, the threat of being branded during an initiation ceremony, and a showdown full of blood and uncontrolled electricity. There's a small amount of profanity, and the romance involves a few passionate kisses.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

I'll leave it at that for now....but mods please comment and advise if these books are of any interest.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm thinking of Relentless by Karen Lynch.....I wanna read it again lols I liked it that much lol

What's everyones thoughts on the other books I've listed??

message 29: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 14, 2016 05:30AM) (new)

Okay so what are the mods thoughts on these following books? Do the blurbs interest u?

- The Mechanic
- Half Bad
- Starflight
- Struck

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

I was thinking for younger readers maybe

Warrior Princess??

message 31: by purplebookworm (new)

purplebookworm (puplebookworm) It doesn't really tell like anything about Warrior Princess

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

No it really doesn't does it...ill post the book blurb

Warrior princess book blurb:

“You can be a warrior, if you choose to be.”

It takes just a moment for fifteen-year-old Branwen’s life to change forever. In the blink of an eye the Saxons attack and her brother is killed. Almost as quickly, she is sent away from her home to a neighbouring stronghold where she’ll be safe from harm. Now Branwen lives as a princess should - surrounded by exquisite things and lavish quarters. But deep down remains the soul of a warrior.

Just when Branwen is sure she has been pushed to her limits, a chance encounter with a mystical woman in white forces her to question everything - and everyone - around her. With no time to lose, Branwen must make a choice: continue in the path her parents intended for her… or step into the role of true Warrior Princess.

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

I'll pop it on the list :) that gives me another younger read books...

message 35: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 18, 2016 07:05AM) (new)

These are the books I have come up with...

Younger Readers Approved
1. Rebel Belle
2. All the Light We Cannot See
3. The Unwanteds
4. Warrior Princess
5. UnEnchanted

Young Adult Readers
1. Prodigy
2.Relentless
3. The Mechanic
4. Dreaming Anastasia
5. Dangerous Lies

message 36: by purplebookworm (new)

purplebookworm (puplebookworm) I recently read Geek Girl. It was really good. Very very very very little swear words so I'd go young reader.

message 37: by purplebookworm (new)

purplebookworm (puplebookworm) The Selection was good. What's the age for younger?

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

The younger readers isnt necessarily age specific it's just a sensored book that won't have any inappropriate scenes but yeah anywhere from 13 and up

Umm just a tad confused...the fact that ur suggesting more books does that mean not happy with the final list provided?? I thought a 5 book selection would be enough? Let me no if not entirely happy with the selected books :)

message 39: by purplebookworm (new)

purplebookworm (puplebookworm) I love the books you picked I just had a stroke of ideas

R u sure The Selection should b for the 'younger' readers?

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha fair enough do u reckon give members more of an option then just 5 books then??

Umm the first one would be young readers....not until the second one that she tries to seduce right?

message 41: by purplebookworm (new)

purplebookworm (puplebookworm) Yeah then the 3 gets a little ugly

Who's the youngest person in this group?

message 42: by purplebookworm (new)

purplebookworm (puplebookworm) KK I'm 12 and I read the whole series but I wouldn't want my 10 year old sis reading that book right now

message 43: by purplebookworm (new)

purplebookworm (puplebookworm) Yeah

I HAV AN 8 YEAR OLD BRO 2!!!!
