ISBN & ASIN numbers

I'm trying to set up a Giveaway for my book, but, after filling out the form, i receive a red-lettered warning "Invalid Book ID." On the form, they ask for ISBN/ISBN13. I don't know the difference between ISBN and ISBN 13. Or, if they want one or both.

Bowker has assigned me an ISBN-10 and an ISBN-13. Not sure what each is. What's the real number?

So, first i gave the ISBN-13 # - rejected. Next, i gave both the ISBN-10 & 13 numbers separated by a / (slash). Rejected. Then i did not put hyphens in the numbers (and there are hyphens in ISBNs). Help!

If i don't input the ISBN i can apparently input the "Book ID." How do i find this?

I see i have an ASIN number -- what is that? If it's the book ID, the Giveaway page will not accept it. Oh dear. Where do i find my book ID?

I studied some more and now know what an ASIN # is and what the difference is between ISBN 10 and 13. So, don't bother to answer those.

However, i don't know what my Book ID is (if not the ASIN). And, the Giveaway won't accept my ISBN-13 or the ASIN.

How do i get this to work? Any ideas? Thank you.

The paperback edition has to be added to the Goodreads database first.

When you give the isbn/isbn13 and other details as explained here https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/..., a librarian can add the book for you.

When the paperback is added, you should be able to create the giveaway.

Yes, the above URL is the right book (It Takes Only One). I have 50 print-on-demand paperbacks currently. So, yes, i guess i need to add that book to my author page. Its ISBN is 9780944134023.

I'll also respond to the URL you suggest.

And, wow, that's confusing.
I was just filling out the "Adding New Books" form from the Librarians Group (as you asked me to). Should i not send the form in now? Did some librarian just go ahead and do this for me?

And, curious, how does this URL page differ from my ebook page? Just that it says "paperback" in small, gray type?

Should i add this page to my "Author Page?"

One last question:
The Giveaway application asks for the Book ID (if you don't have an ISBN).

Where do you find the book's ID? I cannot find it on the Author Page or the book's page.

Different formats (Kindle, paperback) each get a separate page. The Kindle edition has an ASIN listed, the paperback edition has an isbn listed.
