#352 combined both editions of issue 1.The edition of issue 2 you linked to is listed correct. The other edition had issue 2 in the title, and issue 3 on the cover (and on Amazon for that ASIN). Corrected the title for that edition: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

I attempted to combine editions of the same book. It worked except that the original edition under the original publisher is showing as the primary edition: https://www.goodreads.com/book/edit/1... - This edition shows the old ISBNs and the old imprint: Barefoot Books.The correct imprint is: Emerald Isle, NC Stories and the correct ISBNs are: ISBN-10: 0990774058 ISBN-13: 978-0990774051
Is it possible for me uncombine them and then recombine? Or how shall I do this? Thanks, Grace

Never change an existing book. Think of GR as a library site, we keep all existing books that have been published, whether they have changed title, cover or publisher.
Also, combining just means adding all books of a particular work together.
Only an author or staff can set the default edition, instructions are in the link above.
The first book in the database gets to keep their isbn or asin and subsequent books have it listed at the beginning of the description.
FYI, authors cannot create or manage series - you need to post in the appropriate folder and a librarian will assist you.

Sandra - Thanks for responding. I'll take a closer look in the morning after a night's sleep, but I didn't see instructions on how to "uncombine" in the info you sent so perhaps it's self-evident. Also, someone had pointed me to other instructions earlier in the day that said we SHOULD combine editions and that's why I tried it to begin with. Clearly, I've misunderstood something and I appreciate your information.
Sandra - Here's what I saw: I was trying to combine different publications of the same book. So, I shouldn't have done that?do combine:
Different publications of the same book.
Different formats of the book (hardcover, paperback, audio).
Editions/translations of the book in other languages. Even though many translations differ significantly, we've made the decision to combine them all, and have people note the differences in their reviews.
Yes we combine like editions.However, you linked, you said to the original book which now states Kersey publishing & the new series name. If it is the original it should state Barefoot Books. Not sure exactly what you've done.
You should have created a new edition with the new details and as I said the ISBN stays with the original edition, but you can determine which edition becomes the default. Only authors & staff can do that.
As to uncombining - it is called separating and I'm not sure that an author can do that. But as it is the same book just with some minor changes, it is combined anyway.

The Sterling edition should I think be the default edition. The first published field for the Scholastic edition I think is incorrect.
