When you are a politician’s daughter who’s pretty much raised yourself, you learn everything can be planned or spun, or both. Especially your future.

Important internship? Check.

Amazing friends? Check.

Guys? Check (as long as we’re talking no more than three weeks).

But that was before the scandal. Before having to be in the same house with her dad. Before walking an insane number of dogs. That was before Clark and those few months that might change her whole life.

Because here’s the thing—if everything’s planned out, you can never find the unexpected.

And where’s the fun in that?

I started it this afternoon

I started last night. I'm three chapters in. I'm really liking it. The beginning is a bit slow, but it gives a good introduction to the characters.

Just finished chapter 5. Looking forward to seeing what happens with her and her dad.

Through chapter seven. It's not the most amazing thing I've ever read, but still. There's so much adorable awkwardness in this. And I have so much in common with both Andie and Clark it's crazy. Although I think I have more of their bad characteristics than the good ones. And (view spoiler)[I get that the dad is there now and noticing things, but really? You can't just be absent and expect to come back and take charge. (hide spoiler)]

Through chapter 11...I think (at page 319 in the hardback). I'm really enjoying this, though I think it could be better. (view spoiler)[I really like her relationship with her dad and how that's developing. It's nice that they're actually working things out instead of ignoring it. And I love Clark. He's so cute and awkward. His and Tom's friendship is nice. I like all of the girls too. I do think that it's missing a certain something that would make it better. I just haven't placed my finger on what that is yet. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5: it's a pretty good book, but it's a little too slow for my taste. (view spoiler)[I'm having a hard time connecting with the characters so far. Also, I think she should try to cut her dad some slack because I genuinely think he is trying to understand her. (hide spoiler)]

Just finished. Overall I really enjoyed it. I didn't like it as much as Since You've Been Gone (which I love) but I did like it. Probably more than Amy and Roger's Epic Detour. I liked the ending and (view spoiler)[The resolution with the friends made sense. Sad yes, but understandable. And honestly, Bri really annoyed me through this. They all had their faults though. And I'm glad she was able to face how she felt and tell Clark, because I really liked him. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 6: Long chapter, but I really liked getting to know more about the characters. (view spoiler)[I really like Clark. I mean, he seems very genuine and just what she needs to leave her comfort zone. Plus, he seems vulnerable as well. I honestly hope Andi can get past her little quirks and let him, her dad, and others into her thoughts and feelings. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Out of all the friends, Bri annoyed me the most. Sure, Toby ran off, but Bri kept blaming her and wouldn't take any of the blame. I mean, sure Toby was in love with the idea of the guy, but Bri could have talked about things with her before it all started--especially if they were best friends. And yes, I'm so glad she got together with Clark.:) I also like the introduction of excerpts from his books within the story; it wasn't too much. (hide spoiler)] Is the review up on your blog yet?
