As for Patrcia's comment, I am quite the reverse! I have also read both Girl on the Train and Gone Girl, and actually enjoyed GotT more. I found the ending (of GotT) to be much more suspenseful, though I enjoyed both books (the movie however, is another story).

Yes. Personally, I'm not impressed with seeing the word girl in a title for a book about a woman. Silly fad, IMO.

Interesting question. Now that I think about it, I actually don't even register a title - unless this is happening subconsciously. (I am a psychiatrist, forgive me for this aside). I likely used to as a child when all I could see was the title before picking up a book to see if I wanted it. Now, I go by book recommendaitons, and the title is the way for me to look up reviews by pros and readers and seemingly not more than that.
