What are you reading at the moment?

At the moment I'm reading some non-fiction, but I'm curious what other books readers have their nose in!

So, I don't want to sound like a junky but I read around a book a day on average. I have different genres I read but I like PNR, UF and Romantic Suspense. I'm reading Darynda Jones' Tenth Grave right now though. If you've never read her series, Charley is a reaper but hilarious and her love interest is out of this world!

I'm currently reading Cameo Renae's After Light saga. On book two now and loving it! But I'm a dystopian junkie so maybe I'm biased ;)

I am currently finishing up an arc of A Bloddy Kingdom by JJ Mcavoy and boy is it good. My emotions are all over the place. Such a great Mafia romance series.

Darynda Jones is awesome! I haven't read her in years, but I remember picking up her series while on vacation and I was hooked! I haven't read either JJ Mcavoy or Cameo Renae, but I've heard many great things about both authors!

I've just finished reading Unravelling Destiny by Amelia Hutchins. Its a fantastic urban fantasy/paranormal romance fantasy with faeries and I'm kind of on a fairy high right now. I would definitely recommend her books.

I just finished Trust by Casey Diam. I recieved it as an arc on netgally. It is incredible. Its a 3 part series!

I just finished High Voltage and A Strange Hymn and loved them both(5 stars). Fever wrapped up nicely. Love Dani, love Ryo, and Moning can have me for the rest of my life. Loving the complexity and romance of the Bargainer, Thalassa is quickly becoming a fave.

Currently reading , the Bargainer series prequel. I dislike the break from the main series but I'm following the order the books go in. I am not opposed at all to learning more about Desmond Flynn. I'm hoping, he's one of those characters, like Barrons, where learning more about him doesn't destroy the allure of his mystery and personality.

Also at the same time, starting a new series, making the most of my KU trial, . It is...intriguing, so far. It hasn't lost me from the quality of the writing and the main character definitely seems like someone I can enjoy long term(the FBI agent gets his own POV chapter; is he the love interest?).

But....it has the flaw of starting us right in the middle of everything. I don't know...there's something about the way it all is framed and flows that makes it feel like less of an introduction and more like the catch up summary in the beginning of books in a series already in full swing. I'm getting it, at least but the referrals and emotional beats make me feel like I'm missing something, if that makes sense.

I'm currently reading Rhapsodic at the moment. I went ahead and bought Bespelled too, but they didn't have Bewitched in, so I have to go back and pick that one up before I can start those 2 books. I am about 1/3 of the way through Rhapsodic and it is amazing so far! I am completely intrigued by the characters. I haven't been able to guess what's going to happen next, so I keep getting surprised, which I love! I'll probably end up finishing it by tonight or tomorrow. I can't wait to see where the rest of the book goes!
