It's so hard to choose... From TV-series, I would say The Doctor and Lady Sybil. In the world of books... Hermione?

Lady Sybil from Downton? I totally forgot about her... But I still prefer Tom or Daisy or Bates over her. I still miss her though! ;'(

I think mine are Mr Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet! Also, Mary Lennox from The Secret Garden and Sansa Stark from A Song of Ice and Fire!And from series, Anne of Green Gables! Unfortunately, I haven't read the books!
Anne is not so very well-known in Greece!
Here, we read Pollyanna by Eleanor Porter, who is a bit similar to her, as young girls!
Felicity do you mean Gilbert Blythe?
Favorite fictional characters . . . mmmmmmmmm . . . let's see :-) Father Brown (from G.K. Chesterton's "Father Brown Stories"), Lucy Pevensie (Narnia!!!!!!), Fanny Price and Colonel Brandon (Jane Austen), Miss Marple (Agatha Christie), Captain America (Marvel movies), Scout Finch ("To Kill A Mockingbird") . . .
I'm sure I have more, but these are all the ones I can think of right now :-)
Oh, I love so many! I'll *try* to narrow it down though...Emily Byrd Starr {Emily of New Moon}
Anne Shirley {Anne of Green Gables}
Luna Lovegood {Harry Potter}
Leslie Burke {Bridge to Terabithia. I must confess, I prefer her in the movie to the book...}
Rapunzel! {Tangled}
The one and only Mr. Darcy from Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" and I'm really crazy about Gilbert Blythe from Montgomery's "Anne of Green Gables" :")The reason I like those two characters is that Mr. Darcy really gives a role of true gentlemen for maturing boys. I also read and watched the Anne of Green Gables sequels that starred Jonathan Crombie (playing as Gilbert Blythe), and he did a great job playing the character because he's such a perfect, decent, good-natured boy. It really broke my heart to know that he just passed away April 2015, 49 years old.

Who is yours? (You can have several favourites, I know it's hard to point out just one)
I just LOVE Walter Blythe, Mr Tilney and Mr Knightley. Oh, how surprising! They're all male-characters ;)
So just because of gender-equality I will put here some favourite FEMALE-characters as well: Kilmeny Gordon, Anne Shirley/Blythe and Pollyanna Whittier.
