Anita Pomerantz | 9296 comments We've noticed happily that here we seem to be discussing more topics that don't specifically relate to books.

Feel free to discuss personal news, announcements, and any non-book related items here!

Jenni Elyse (jenni_elyse) I just realized that I've been so busy with the 30 Days of Books threads that I've been neglecting the other topics, lol. I had over 4 pages of unread topics to look at.

Well, you've done a great job with 30 days, and I so appreciate your contribution there!!

Anita Pomerantz | 9296 comments Hi everyone,

I'm headed out for a short vacation in Denver from Sunday to Thursday! I am hoping to get lots of reading in . . .fingers crossed. And some Yankees/Rockies games. And some hiking. And hoping to visit the Botanical Gardens and eat some yummy food.

So ready for a little break. Wish all my work stuff was more buttoned down though before I leave.

A

Ladyslott | 1880 comments I am also heading out - to California to visit my daughter. Will be gone for a week, although I will have my computer with me not sure how often I will check in. Some sightseeing planned among other things.

Susie Have a great time ladies! It is a long weekend here in Melbourne but we're just going to laze about at home. It is cold and rainy so a good weekend for reading!

It's gonna be HOT! Bring lots of sunscreen. You will burn in a second around here! Wave as you fly by! I'm not close to the airport, but I'll see ya. Seriously, you will have fun.

Thanks for the warning, Marti!! I'm excited . . . we are staying at The Art hotel and doing two baseball games, some really good sounding restaurants, one day of hiking in Golden (have you ever been to that park?), and one day of museums/sightseeing. Short and sweet.

Charlie Ravioli (charlie_ravioli) | 611 comments Long time, no talk to my PBT friends. When I last left you my son (Jack) had just been born. Sorry to say I'm still trying to finish the same book I was reading then (only 300 pages more to go). Anyway, it's been a little more than 3 months since Jack was born and I'm happy to say that all is well and I am enjoying being a Dad. I posted two recent pics (in my profile) of Jack for anyone that's interested. He's getting big.

LOL Charlie on reading the same book! I remember those days. I think I averaged three books a year. Max. I'm so glad to hear Jack is doing well, and I'm off to check out his pictures right now. Enjoy every minute!!

Jack is a cutie!! I wouldn't read much either if my other options was hanging out with him :) Good to see you around here though. Definitely remember to pop in and keep us posted on Jack! And we will cheer with you when you complete that book :)

Beautiful baby! And Jack Ryan - really? LOL you are a die-hard Clancy fan then, I take it?

Ellen | 3522 comments Jack sure is a cutie, Charlie! I'd be spending all of my time with him instead of reading too!
