*=Trea to Double Up on this book

I only read about 50 pages while waiting for my son's therapy appointment to end...but I hate Adele!

I finished through Chapter 9 today. I have a doctor's appt. 2 hours away tomorrow so I won't get much reading in. Hopefully we can pick up wherever you get to tomorrow.
I am enjoying it so far!

I wasn't able to get much further than I had after my son's appointment, but I've had a rough night and will probably do some more reading before he gets up for the day.

Eh, its more of a OCD thing for me...I try to read a book a day, but I just wound up getting busy. Got a 2 hour wait today, so I should make some good progress today.

I picked up my library request for the next book yesterday, so I plan on sticking around for the next book at least!

I'm hoping so!

Maybe the writing gets better as the series progresses because I do recall liking Book 6 slightly more than this one.

I do remember not being that impressed with the first 3 books, but my library system has all of them, so I'll keep going with it and see if it improves.
When would you like to try to read book 2? I've got nothing scheduled yet, but a good bit of buddy reads set up. I already have my library copy, but it is due back on the 14th. It should be renewable though!

You tell me what works best for you this month and it should work for me as well.

I'm going to finish this one for sure, and the third, just to be sure of my feelings on it, but I can't guarantee I won't abandon the series after that.

No worries! I had a couple of others to work on, so I only put in a little work on this one. I started another buddy read and read Purity in Death too, so I wouldn't get too far ahead. I'm only on page 34 and all this has already manifested.

I don't think I can make myself stay on a timeline as a buddy read with the rest of them. I'll probably work them in if I need them for a specific challenge, well maybe...maybe not at this point.
I really had to force myself to read this one and probably would not have finished if it wasn't a BR. :(
I'd love to try another BR in the future with a book that's actually decent enough to have some discussion about. Keep me in mind.
